Excellent product and saves a lot of hassle in cleaning out hairs from the tub. Highly recommended. Sticks nicely around the plug hole and doesn't move. Easy to clean the shower now. Thank you!

I will upload a picture/video later but this thing fit so snugly and perfectly, at a glance you would think it's how the shower was supposed to be like! Functionwise it does the job and catches hair as it's supposed to. The silicone edges makes it stable and ensures that the filter doesn't move around. And the multiple holes/angle of the filter makes it not collect water. It's extremely easy to clean, just wipe away the caught hair with a tissue and it all easily falls off. The previous pre-built filter had a housing that encouraged bacteria growth, so it was a nightmare to clean. Because this is much more breathable, the whole thing should not catch as much bacteria as the plastic alternative.

I purchased this item as I was fed up with clearing the blocked shower drain with a plunger and drain cleaner. I live in a household with two ladies, both of whom wash their hair in the shower. The inevitable result is that within a week of regular use the shower tray starts to fill up with water and won't drain away as it is blocked with fine hair which the standard shower strainer will not catch. I decided to give the OXO a go as a quick and cheap remedy. If it didn't work then nothing was lost! I replaced the standard drainer with OXO and what a difference! The OXO catches the fine hair very easily and the advantage is that you can see the hair accumulating on its top face. The OXO is very easy to clean as one can push the hair off the filter with one's fingers and then rinse the soap scum off. A first class, simple product that works really well. In my shower tray it is possible to accidentally push the OXO off the drain with one's foot as there is no securing mechanism to keep it in place but it's a small point otherwise I would have given it 5 stars!

Having considered a number of the cheaper silicone protectors or the sink-style steel filters, I chose this partly because of the brand name and partly because of the positive reviews. Since (in my case) more than one person uses the shower ever day, there's a pretty good argument for paying a little more for quality and longevity, and I haven't been disappointed over the last few months. The key thing is that the surface around your water outlet must be flat and the plughole itself must be level - so traditional baths or shower cubicles should be fine. The protector looks good, is clearly well made, feels solid and certainly isn't likely to bend or break, nor is it so light and flimsy that it will be moved just by the shower water. Having said that, I'm not sure it would stay in place for a bath, since it is really it's own weight and the small rubber border that keeps it in place rather than any suction cups. It also works. It is in a shower unit used by two long haired shower users apart from myself, and this has stopped everything, I have very fine shorter hair and it has also caught this. It's very easy to clean (just lift it up and wipe/pull of the hairs or any other debris) and shines up well with normal bathroom cleaners. There's nothing pleasant about a blocked shower and having to dig out old and soap-slimy hairs from a blocked outlet or plug, or using the dangerous and often corrosive cleaners (if you have to, "One Shot" is the best product for this), and this protector has totally stood the test of time and intense use - I haven't even had to think about cleaning the drain since getting it - so I can recommend without hesitation ... as long as you have the right kind of bath or shower floor. A worthwhile investment!

Superb product which actually does the job.

Brilliant shower guard. Just wish I’d bought it sooner. We had an awful metal thing before which limescale ate away at and looked very ratty. This looks clean and simple. Easy to remove hair after a shower. No smells! Also hasn’t slowed drainage for us.

Working well so far stops short and long hairs, at one point was having to declog the plughole every month this seems to have stopped that going to look at getting another for other shower

Good quality and it does stop the hair. It just also stops the soap/suds.. Meaning it blocks the holes and the the water, shower then overflows. Kind of annoying 🤦🏻‍♀️

Die Qualität ist erstklassig. Der Edelstahl ist robust und rostfrei, während der Gummirand für einen perfekten Sitz im Abfluss sorgt. Kein Wasser läuft mehr am Sieb vorbei - ein großer Pluspunkt für die Hygiene in der Küche. Was mich besonders überzeugt, ist die Funktionalität. Der erhöhte Rand hält selbst kleinste Speisereste zuverlässig zurück, ohne den Wasserablauf zu behindern. Die Reinigung ist dank des herausnehmbaren Siebeinsatzes ein Kinderspiel - einfach ausklopfen und fertig! Der Griff ist ein Geniestreich. Er ist groß genug für eine sichere Handhabung, auch mit nassen oder seifigen Händen. Gleichzeitig stört er nicht beim Stapeln von Geschirr im Becken. Die Größe passt perfekt in Standard-Abflüsse und der schlichte, elegante Look fügt sich nahtlos in jede Kücheneinrichtung ein.

Estaba buscando algún producto que me sirviera para cubrir un desagüe de un plato de ducha, tenía uno antiguo que se metía dentro y estaba oxidado, pero no encontraba un recambio con el mismo diámetro y este ha sido la solución. Cubre un desagüe de máximo 12 cm. Sólo hay que ponerlo encima y se mantiene sin moverse gracias a la goma que tiene en el borde. Estoy contento porque le da otro aspecto al plato, mucho más estético, además recoge bien los pelos que se van acumulando y es fácil de limpiar. Parece de buena calidad y que va a durar, eso sumado al precio me parece un muy buen producto. Como apunte a los que nos interesan estas cosas, la empresa que lo fabrica es OXO, americana, sus productos suelen ser para cocina y de calidad, lo único malo que le encuentro es que está fabricado en china.

Precisava de um protetor de ralo que ficasse por cima do ralo tipo grelha e achei essa opção da Oxo. O preço é salgado (assim como todos os produtos desta marca), mas funciona super bem! É só colocar em cima da grelha que ele segura os fios de cabelo. Não sai do lugar pois a borda é emborrachada. Só achei que chegou um pouco arranhado, a embalagem poderia incluir um saquinho individual para que os demais produtos do pedido não arranhassem o protetor. Super indico!

Il filtro per doccia (non per lavello) di Oxo Good Grips é un prodotto molto valido. Lo vedo piú adatto ad uno scarico per doccia che non ad uno scarico per lavello. In effetti anche sul cartoncino attaccato al filtro la Oxo riporta nella descrizione "filtro per doccia". Nel mio caso é arrivato esattamente come dalla foto dell'inserzione di vendita, cioé con il bordo in silicone grigio chiaro. Il diametro é 12 cm. E' leggermente bombato verso l'alto quindi BISOGNA APPOGGIARLO SULLO SCARICO CON LA SCRITTA OXO RIVOLTA VERSO L'ALTO, altrimenti l'anello in silicone non aderisce bene sul piatto doccia. Altra cosa importante da dire é che va molto bene e serve in effetti a trattenere molti capelli e peli ma SOLO SE VIENE APPOGGIATO SU UNA SUPERFICIE COMPLETAMENTE PIANA, altrimenti il filtro non aderisce bene al piatto doccia e non svolge la sua funzione. Il filtro non si sposta durante l'utilizzo della doccia perché rimane ben fermo sullo scarico. La parte in acciaio é molto robusta ed abbastanza spessa, quindi non tende assolutamente a deformarsi. In generale i prodotti di Oxo Good Grips sono abbastanza cari ma la qualitá e la validitá, a distanza di anni, di questi articoli ammortizzano di gran lunga la spesa iniziale sostenuta. Utilizzo ormai da molti anni i prodotti di Oxo Good Grips e mi sono sempre trovata molto bene. DOVE VIENE PRODOTTO : Made in China MISURE : diametro 12 cm PREGI : Bello, funzionale, pratico, utile, efficace, grande, si pulisce facilmente, aderisce bene, materiali ottimi. DIFETTI : al momento non ne ho riscontrati, sará comunque mia cura modificare la mia recensione in caso contrario.
