Good first high end motherboard. Paired with a I7 -13700 13th gen and a rtx 4070 and it runs smooth. Bios is a little tricky and doesnt like raid setups or that might just be me. I did my research and this is a good bang for your buck motherboard for my first ever build Lowest CPU Temp 30C lowest GPU Temp 27 C

As always ASUS has produced another winner with the ASUS Prime Z790M-Plus LGA 1700 microATX motherboard. I set this up with an Intel Core i7-14700K processor and CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM 96GB (2x48GB) with two slots still open to double the memory in the future if needed. Using a Samsung 990 PRO M.2 2000 GB PCI Express 4.0 V-NAND MLC NVMe as the main drive and a PNY Quadro RTX A4000 16GB GPU. For power a Corsair RMX Series (2021), RM750x, 750 Watt, Gold, Fully Modular Power Supply. Cooling the i7 with a Noctua NH-U12A, Premium CPU Cooler with High-Performance Quiet NF-A12x25 PWM Fans (120mm, Brown) for Desktop. Also installed an ASUS - Motherboards TPM 2.0 SPI Module to be fully compatible with Windows 11. Been building systems for over 35 years and have never had a failure with ASUS motherboards. Mostly used for CAD applications but would make for a great gamer as well. This new system rocks!

I bought this motherboard for my daughters Gaming rig. I run an i7 with integrated graphics and 16 gigs of ram. It plays minecraft and roblox great. Larger titles run well with graphics set to high or medium. You can throw a graphics card in this bad boy and it will take off, but she doesnt need all that... Yet. Thanks!

Not a board for novices. A Windows 11 installation has no drivers for the network card. You have to do a Shift and F10 to get a command prompt, type in control panel, go to System and Device Manager. Then add the driver obtained from the website and extract it to a flash drive to install the driver. Windows 11 will not proceed with the installation without a network connection. After you finally get booted up, there are several drivers not available from the Asus website. Then you have to install Amory Crate which takes about 15 minutes and then use the tool to install the missing drivers. Then uninstall Armory Crate. This is the first motherboard that I have ever purchased that didn't come with a driver CD. They should ship with a flash drive with all of the needed drivers including the network card driver needed during the Windows 11 installation. I've built at least 500 computers in my business.

The motherboard functions as expected. The I O shield was missing from the package, which I anticipated as a possibility given that the board was used. However, the product images showed the I/O shield as included. The shipping and packaging are what bring the rating down. The motherboard and its box were shipped inside a USPS box with no padding at all. During transit, the motherboard was able to move freely, and the antistatic bag was cut, torn, and scratched open from bouncing inside the box. This did not inspire confidence in the handling or protection of the product. Fortunately, the board appears to have arrived undamaged and is working properly, but the shipping and handling process was inadequate and risky.

Did my own install. This has 3 m2 slots. It was the easiest thing ever. I love this board, for the price, it is the best valued DDR5, LGA 1700 board on the market right now (as of writing this review).
