I considered the electronic air poppers but didn't really want another kitchen appliance taking up space. I have tried the stovetop kind (WhirleyPop) and these work great with oil, but I'd rather avoid oil to save calories. Anyway, the popper is great. You just measure out the popcorn kernels into the bowl, add the lid and stick it in the microwave for 2-4 minutes. You have to pay close attention or it will burn quite easily. Almost all of the kernals pop and the popcorn is light and crispy. I would give it 5 stars but I think the price is high for what it is.
