You could drill some yourself but the frame isn't thick enough to countersink screws let alone hefty bolts. I cemented my frame into place. The drain is in my garden, surrounded variously by lawn, earth and concrete. It's holding well but wouldn't cope with having anything driven over it. Since it's only a pedestrian cover this is not a problem.
