The pieces are of high quality, lock firmly in place, but release with a reasonable amount of force. Between the extensions and universal joints, you have the functionality to get into the most challenging places. The adapters allow you to use different-sized sockets with your wrenches for specialty items like spark plug sockets. If you don't watch for sales, the price can be a little high for what you get compared to other manufacturers from Taiwan or China. Maybe tariffs have caused prices to rise compared to a few years ago, but I was surprised this set didn't cost a little less. I watched it for months before buying, and the $55.27 price was the best that I saw. Would buy again, but I suspect I will never need to. They should last a lifetime. The ball detent and spring were still making it difficult to put sockets on and take off. Worked much better after applying oil to ball detent hole.
