Review: Purchased this Rev A Shelf pullout accessory on Sunday of Black Friday weekend through desertcart via Spreetail as the vendor. Item was shipped Monday from neighboring state and received Wed 2 days later. What kind of sorcery is this? I was expecting typical 1 week+. After opening and inspecting, I noticed a large gap from the adjoining wood pieces where the corresponding wood screws were not countersunk securely like the other screws. This explained the two different splits in the baseplate. I understand wood sometimes don't behave properly but the loose screws were backed out so the crack wouldn't further propagate and boxed up with no final inspection it seems. No the screws didn't vibrate out or evidence of shipping damage to the box. I can fix the pullout with a replacement baseplate as it literally took me 5 minutes to remove. So I called and eventually got through to Rev A Shelf customer service and explained I can fix this if you send me a new base plate. She said No and encouraged me to send item back through desertcart's return policy. Really? Send a 40lb box back and forth when I was willing to keep and just needed a baseplate. "It's not fair to you as we can sell you the baseplate so just return item back to desertcart as we don't know what they did with it." So you're saying it's fair to vendors to eat merchandise which was clearly defective from the factory which will likely go to liquidation and possibly resold to another unsuspecting customer in a wasteful loop? desertcart and Spreetail are listed as authorized web sellers in Rev A Shelf's website by the way. I then called Spreetail's customer service and told them I think it makes sense if I keep the item and see if Rev A Shelf can send a base plate instead of shipping entire pullout back since they probably have more leverage than an individual consumer. He agreed and even kindly offered additional compensation for the inconvenience which I declined because I just want to repair and move on with the project. Later in the evening Spreetail responded that they cannot obtain part from mfg and will process new order for replacement, and I keep the original. So two days later, I received an entire new replacement and no cracking this time. Wow. I have spent over $1.2K over the last year with Rev A Shelf misc accessories and probably double that with online kitchen cabinets that came preinstalled with Rev A Shelf pullouts as they partnered with them for my renovation project today. Sorry. No more Rev A Shelf after this experience. I was fortunate that Spreetail made it right and believe in my case, they have your back. 5 Stars for them for all the after hours correspondence, professional communication, new replacement, and firewood from the original. For a USA company with hundreds of network sellers, I am so disappointed with Rev A Shelf and expected more for a fair request on my part. Hopefully this lengthy writeup will educate you on what potentially you may or may not encounter and what to look for if you ultimately choose what accessory is best for you. Signed Senior Mfg Engineer. Review: this is very sturdy and once installed it works perfectly. We had a cabinet door that the hinges were wearing out on and this was a perfect solution that not only made the door functional, but created organization that we did not realize we needed. I ordered another one because of how organized this cabinet became. Only one issue with this, the instructions are not completely accurate or informative. The screws are labeled correctly in the list but then in the instructions they are not. (I also installed a Rev-a-shelf trash holder that also had the same issue). I eventually looked up a video on how to install to clear up the other issues we encountered.

This pull out is high quality - very solidly constructed. It functions nicely and has made the space very useful now. We got the 14" and it fits perfect in our 15" opening.

I bought 5 of these in different sizes, all are very nice and work beautifully. The larger one arrived broken, the top piece of wood a bit too thin. I wish the customer service would have been more responsive. But would definitely recommend

I found the installation straightforward and simple. The frame and slides are well-built. One tricky part is determining how to accurately place the cabinet front onto the base after installation. You'll need to close the base cabinet, then measure from the door face mounting brackets to the point where the cabinet door should be mounted, then transfer those measurements to the door so that you can drill pilot holes. I recommend drill one pilot hole, mount the door loosely, slide the cabinet shut to check the position, then mark the rest of the pilot holes. In my case, I converted an existing hinged cabinet, so I had to adjust the door mounting brackets to avoid the large holes that were cut in the door for the hinges (that were removed).
