Good materials and workmanship! Lovely mirror finish!
Excellent quality the stainless steel is mirror finish and can be easily cleaned. The sharpness allows for ease of turning soil even in very compacted ground. The design is beautiful in my opinion, the mirror finish with hardwood just ticks my boxes. The fork is lightweight weight enough to be used by someone who isnt very strong, although the effor tdepends on the compactness of the ground more than anything else.

Very sturdy
Got this to replace an old fork, seems very well made and comfortable to use. Good brand name and price, only surprised it was made in china.

Attractive but not a digging fork
This is a very pretty fork, which would look good in anyone's tool shed. I can thoroughly recommend it if your soil is friable and easily worked, e.g. a vegetable bed, which has been dug regularly each season and has benefitted from the regular addition of compost. If yours is a new garden, however, say on a new housing estate, where the builder has buried the usual rubble of half bricks, wall ties and timber offcuts, this is not the fork for you.The manufacturer warns against using it to lever up roots and the like but frankly this is a tad disingenuous. The soil in my garden is sandy and therefore very light. I had recently had some landscaping work carried out as a result of which the soil had become compacted and I wanted to fork it over to loosen it and to remove perennial weeds. For 90% of the time the fork worked well. It was light to use, it penetrated the soil easily and the soil did not cling to the tines. But then I would come across a piece of buried root. The root would be less than 2 cm in diameter and less than 0.5 m long but, if one of the end tines caught on it, the tine would bend. It is inevitable, when digging, that you will hit buried objects. The heavier the soil, the more force is required to dig it and the more likely it is that such things will happen. Which is why I say that the manufacturer's warning is disingenuous. It is a very attractive fork. It is light to use and to keep clean. But, it is not a fork for digging. It is a fork for forking.

Good garden fork
Another good S&J product, as a garden fork this is really good, just don't dig rocks out of your garden or the spines will bend. Little rocks fine, but I hooked some builders rubble in the corner of my garden and ended up bending 2/4 spines. Fork still works, just annoying to have bent those 2 spines.

Bent tine on 1st use
I was looking for a mid range garden fork to dig over a weedy part of the garden. The fork itself appears solid and a good size but within 10 minutes of digging one of the tines had bent out of shape. Although the area was a bit dry it was not overly stony to provide resistance to the fork. The fork is only suitable for pre-dug soil with light weeds and no stones. Definitely not worth the money.

Comfortable to use
Beautiful garden fork , not too heavy for a female to handle, easy to use , this was due to the type of wood in which they used , and the it again gains points because of the quality l expected it to more. Delivery bang on time l would give it 20 out of 10
