True Blue 😊
I'm always chopping and changing my hair colour, and this was the first time I used manic panic and I chose the AMPLIFIED AFTER MIDNIGHT BLUE DYE. The advice is always to pre lighten the hair, with bleach if needed. I decided against this has I had already pre lightened my hair (but not bleach) when I dyed it pink 4 month's ago. And couldn't be bothered to wait for the pink to totally fade and start right from the beginning. Blah, blah. Being an insomniac (and impatient) was an advantage for when trawling through the Internet and YouTube looking for advice on dying straight over the pink. The majority outcome was not to as it would be a yucky colour . But I found 1 video that did take that risk and it turned out beautifully. So I decided to take the plunge. I put on cheap plastic gloves (my advice is to use washing up gloves (I wish I had. And make sure that they are ones you won't want to use again lol)), which did tear hence my lovely blue hands. And smothered protelium jelly around my hairline and top of my ears. This is a messy process and preparation is everything. I emptied the contents into a bowel and added a squirt of WHITE coloured hair contiditioner just to lighten it a tad. And applied it starting at my roots. Once fully covered I got clingfilm piled my hair on top of my head and wrapped it in the clingfilm and left it for 3 hours (manic panic advice is 30 mins, but I've found for myself, the longer the better). As you can see (my pic's aren't the best as I'm not the most photogenic), the only way I can describe the outcome is WOW!!! WOW!!! It looks so much better in 'real life'. The blue obviously has attached itself to the pink and the rest of my virgin hair a blackish colour, which thankfully covered my natural sparkly bits. When I wash it next, I will use cool, even cold water, if I'm feeling brave and colour saving shampoo/conditioner. And in between washes dry shampoo (which is my new best friend and should be yours too), as every wash reduces the colour and vibrancy. So I wash my hair once or twice a week. I've had so many compliments the most I've had with any colour. I gave 3* stars for long lasting as I've only been blue a week, so time will tell. I would recommend this colour and brand, and I can't wait for when I try another colour in a few months x

Good colour
It is a semi permanent dye so it will wash out considerably over time. I re dye my hair every couple of months (bleach the roots ect too so the colour is more vibrant), and have been doing so for nearly a year and my hair is still healthy so as far as damage goes it's very minimal.

Out in 2 washes!
I've been using the normal manic panic for years and never had an issue. But I decided to give the amplified version a go with the promise of long-lasting colour. Nope! I've never had colour wash out of my hair faster than this stuff. after the first wash it had faded a lot and after the second it had gone almost entirely. As I said, I've been using manic panic for many years so I know that I haven't messed up the dying process and I haven't washed it with anything that would strip colour. Found an old pot of the original manic panic and put that in my hair, still strong colour after 4 washes. the fact that this is more expensive and lasts nowhere near as long is ridiculous

Perfect for toning out warmth and brassiness
I've used After Midnight multiple times now, either on my natural mid-brown hair, or on bleached ends. It always washes out into completely cool-toned shades, so it's perfect for getting rid of unwanted warm and brassy tones, which is what I've been using it for. On my natural mid-brown hair - it creates an amazing teal-green that changes in different lights. Comes out quite dark on the hair at first, but washes out and softens quickly. Hair just looks a cool-toned dark when you're away from the light, but in sunshine or bright light you can really see the teal green. I love that effect. On bleached hair - catches on exactly like the picture, a true blue, doesn't fade too quickly but when it does it's a silverish kind of denim blue first, which then turned into a tiffany's sort of green, but that was probably because the bleached blonde ends I had underneath were quite yellow. Each time I loved the end result and enjoyed the way the colour changed overtime.

Crazy Color is better.
Having normally been a fire red Crazy Color girl I wanted to try another brand to see if there was something better out there. I prefer the actual colour of Crazy Colour and I feel that it covers better and the colour lasts longer. In addition, this dye transfers onto my light grey hoody and also onto my light colour pillow case (does wash out fine) but I don't ever remember having the same problem with Crazy Colour. I'm changing my colour to paprika next week but when I go back red I think I would buy Crazy Colour. Tips for keeping red hair red: If you have dark hair, bleach to a light ginger colour first. Wash hair in cold water - colder the better. Don't wash your hair every day, or even every other day - once every 3 days is good and freshen up with dry shampoo in between washes, you will seriously struggle to maintain your colour if you wash everyday. After shampooing, mix conditioner with a good squirt of the dye and work through your hair and leave for 5 minutes or so - do this every time you wash your hair and it will keep your colour fresh. Use a good shampoo and condition for coloured hair - I used Tigi Bed Head Colour Goddess, the smell is utterly divine and I could eat my hair afterwards. So to sum up, if you've never used Crazy Colour you'd probably love Manic Panic as it is a good product but I personally prefer Crazy Color. Stupid selfie picture on the left is Crazy Colour, mirror selfie on the right is Manic Panic - I think Crazy Color is brighter.

Fantastic colour
This colour is brilliant. I’ve spent years using different shades of permanent purple “LIVE” hair dye and I was fed up with my ends going orange after a couple of weeks! I tried the manic panic purple tub dye a couple of months ago and it was great the tones of purple and blue were really good so I thought I’d try this one and it’s even better! I’ve got dark brown hair and the dark bits went purple and the lighter bits went electric blue. The colours blend really well through the different shades in your hair. I love it and for a temporary colour it lasts really well. Will be sticking with this dye from now on. Also there’s no nasty smell when you put it on and it doesn’t burn your scalp like other hair dyes do.

Stunning results
I swear by this dye, it works brilliantly on my dark blonde hair without bleaching beforehand and it very easy to apply. It can get very messy though - wear gloves and cover your surfaces! Also I reccomend putting vasaline around your hair line unless you want a red face. It does fade quickly with every wash, to prevent this wash it as little as possible in cold water. However, it will fade within 6 or 7 weeks and your hair will completely return to its original colour. The photo is of the day after I dyed my hair.

Zero shade visible
I asked it on heavily bleached hair and not a single share of purple is visible. Never trying it again. I really had high hopes because I've used it's blue box . Today blue also stained everything but atleast it coloured my hair. This purple bottle did absolutely nothing!!!!!

LOVE it but would not buy again.
Listen. The colour is good. Pretty good. Honestly too good I would say. But it BLEEDS and STAINS like crazy. I recoloured my hair on Saturday and today is Wednesday and my hands are still pink. They got stained and then cleaned but this is the pink simply from combing my hair, not even obsessive running-my-hand-through-my-hair. So you need to prepare yourself mentally for the staining. This colour will get on everything till it gets washed out completely. It will get on your towel, it will get on your hairbrush, it will get on the back of the shirt you are wearing, it will get on your pillowcase, it will completely stain your back, your neck, your shoulders, your legs, your bathroom when you shampoo after applying the colour. So yeah, just know that you are making a commitment when you get this colour. You can see the photos of how the colour turned out on brownish black hair. The final colour will obviously depend on the level you've pre-lightened your hair to. It appears brighter outside and more grungy, muted dark red inside. Personally I absolutely loved how this turned out but I will not be purchasing again because of how much it stains. Super in love though, I'll be sad when this fades fully.
