This is the second one of these I have replaced on our living room recliner sofa. They look, fit, and work like brand-new. Just unscrew the old handle from the outside (two screws) and flip your recliner over. Trace the course of the old cable and replace it as you found it. There is a clip on the cable sleeve you may need pliers to pull out. The rest is easy.

The product was very sturdy and installed. It was too long and did not repair our chair as needed. Be sure to measure and order the correct size. I would buy from this producer again.

It was easy to install, but cable is 1/4 inch longer than original. Had to do a minor modification but it works.

Seems far more substantial than the original plastic version. I should have ordered one without the cable though as the effective length was too long. I ordered what I thought to be the shortest version, but obviously there are shorter. It added about 5 minutes to the installation. All in all it probably took no more than 10 minutes.

We replaced a broken handle a couple of years ago with this product and it was fine for a couple of years so I bought the same one to replace it when it broke again and this time it broke the first time I used it after installation! Arg! I saw that there are metal ones as well so I will try that next time.

Unfortunately the handle was not the right size for my couch. But I was able to separate it out pretty quickly and replaced the cable in my couch and it works better than the other side now.

Fits perfectly, looks great, works like a charm. Installed in less than 5 min. Super great quality. I bought the plastic one. I wish it came in brown to match the rest of the handles but now that I see it works and is a perfect fit we are going to buy replacements for all of them.
