Will this be problematic?** A: If your turntable is design to have an isolated/separate ground from the preamp/amplifier then I wouldn't think it would not be a problem. If you choose to buy one and you have hum issues then I would return it. I don't have a schematic for either the preamp or the DC power supply that plugs into it. So I don't know if the preamp ground is floating or not. Not having the turntable and preamp grounded can produce ground loops that may introduce buzz or hum into the signal(sound output).
