Dog likes it!
I got this as a Christmas present for my Parsons Jack Russell cross. It can get cold where I live and the dog seems to get chilly at times, so I thought a heat reflective blanket would be a good idea. I think it must work, as with the weather having turned cold, the dog curls up on his blanket. When the temperature rises he moves off, either partly or wholly. The blanket is on the thin side. The fleece on the cover seems good quality, but the backing is very flimsy and I wait to see if it will tear. The inside is just the reflecting bit. I wish it was a slightly larger size as this is a little small for my dog. In my opinion it's suitable for cats or very small dogs

Good warmth but only lasted 1 winter
Lasted 1 winter - our dog scratches her bedding and she managed to rip holes on the insert. Thing it did make a difference to the warmth but didn’t last that long

My boy Nash has been sound asleep on it since it arrived. Warm, cosy, well made and the cover is washable. Perfect A++
Well, I didn’t get the chance to take a picture of this awesome self-heating pet pad before my boy Nash dived onto it and after treading it almost to death for about 10 minutes (just to make it his!) curled up and promptly fell asleep. Its like a drug, he hasn’t woke up since, but he’s still breathing, I checked :)I love my cats and love to spoil them so when I saw this on daily deals it was in my basket and purchased quicker than a flick of a whisker. I knew either Nash or Molly would love it, and I was right. It arrives nicely boxed, so its perfect to give as a gift this coming Christmas, especially if you pet loves to rip up card board boxes as part of the fun. My cat Molly loves boxes, so whilst Nash was sleeping off all the excitement of this pet pads arrival, Molly was busy shredding its box in the kitchen with her claws. All’s well in my house then.Size wise it comes in at: 64cm x 49cm and is plenty big enough (see pic) for my rather large black cat Nash. Molly, who is somewhat smaller, a lot smaller actually, would have a lot more room to roll around and snuggle on it if she got the chance. Nash isn’t poorly, but when he was a couple of years ago when he had to have 2 teeth taken out, this would have been perfect for his recuperation after the anaesthetic. So, if you have an ill best friend, this might be the perfect comforting gift for them to help them on the road to recovery. Older pets will love it, they love to snuggle and have their own cosy place to rest. Its quite clever how it works as there is no electricity powering its warmth. It works by reflecting your pets heat back at them! And it appears to work very well. Excellent value at twice the price!A little thinner than I imagined it would be and there is a bit of a crinkling sound when I press my hands on it, but it doesn’t seem to bother Nash and he was on it in a flash and sleeping soundly after that treading I mentioned earlier. There is a small zip pull on the side that alerts you to the fact that the cover can be removed for washing when necessary. I also advise you get yourself one of those pet hair removing mitts as this will pick up pet hair quite badly. Nash sheds a lot, so I am forever wiping over things with that hair removing mitt and brushing him to reduce the hair. I manage to keep a hair free home by keeping on top of it. But this pet pad will show up the black hair quite badly, so I’ll just give it a wipe with my hair removing mitt every few days and it won’t need washing all that often. Not unless he does that trick he does with fur balls! Unpleasant to say the least :)Awesome pet bed. Cosy, warm, ideal for poorly pets and elderly pets. Nicely boxed so can be gifted.Highly Recommended!!

Disappointed
I brought this for my elderly dog and I'm very disappointed as the foil mat inside the cover just keeps curing up to one end so it useless

Rabbit-approved for colder nights
This was my rabbit's favourite comfort mat to stay warm on chilly nights whilst living outside in the garage! He now lives indoors but still enjoys using it as his 'comfort mat'. Buying here means it's significantly cheaper than in any pet shops, which is ideal as many stores charge significantly more money for the exact same product. The mat itself is a zip-over cover with a cosy sheepskin-like fleece on top and a thin fabric layer on the bottom with tiny rubber dots to prevent slipping. The inside is a crinkly foil-like sheet, which retains heat to keep your pet comfortably warm. The outer layer can easily be removed and washed in the machine when dirty, making it so easy to look after. These are perfect for any cats, dogs or rabbits in the colder weather, as the inner layer helps retain the animal's natural body heat and keeping them cosy without being a hazard at all. Just be sure there is other space for your pet to move to if they feel too warm! I did also notice that although my bunny is a serial nibbler and loves to chew or rip up bedding, he never chews this - possibly as it is a synthetic material rather than a natural one?The only slight flaw in this otherwise great product is that it does make a scrunching noise due to the inner layer when the pet sits on it, which can put them off at first! However even my timid rabbit got used to it and now loves to sit on it to keep himself cosy.Ideal for any pet owners looking for an affordable and safe way to keep your pets warm in the winter months, or on chilly evenings!
