The stone can be changed easily---simply unscrew the bezel and put another stone in place. The stones are very pretty--nice colors and very sparkly. I got a size 7--and the sizing feels right. It's not a heavy, chunky ring--so it can be worn by itself...or stacked with another ring. In addition to the stones, there was also an extra bezel. I don't foresee losing one as it takes several turns to secure it; however, it's nice to have the backup...just in case.
