Be aware it is as light as a feather so i use mine as ornament on a kitchen shelf. **Q: Is the chrome bit on the top a lid or just a trim around the top? I purchased the jar and at the same time a set of black and silver utensils and also lilac and white to go with my other kitchen accessories and they all fit in the jar nicely because the lilac set are shorter handled.
