I’ve tried it over black and dark grey nail polish and the duo chrome effects are beautiful. I was looking to replace my much loved Ciate Forest Fruits & After Dark shades which they don’t make anymore and these are the closest I’ve got. The photos don’t do them justice as when you move your fingers around you can see so many pretty colours. I followed the instructions and only needed one coat over a good black/grey base. Then put on a clear top coat. I’m really pleased with the results and can’t wait to try the other colours. 💜💙💚 Update: I have now purchased the Mermaid set. I understand how other reviewers say the bottles all look the same and out of the black packaging I agree but once painted over a white base coat they’re so pretty and you can see that each one is a different pearlescent glittery pastel colour. I painted one of each colour and they look so pretty. It’s very difficult to photograph them as the photos don’t seem to pick up the colours. I attach a photo I took inside and outside. If you remember the soap Cussons Pearl they look like that packaging - like Mother of Pearl.
