This set is enormous
Yes it is made in china!!! the cup and saucer are very good quality and the set is enormous I still manage to make a hot chocolate with cream in it lol

Not the quality i expected.
Treated myself to a new breakfast cup and saucer and liked the Spode design. Came packaged well and looked the part but on closer inspection the transfer design seemed a little cramped and the figure at the front is somewhat stunted. I also noted the cup and saucer was made in China! A little disappointed in the quality of this item.

Slightly smaller
I purhased this in the belief it was of the same dimensions as the original Spode Jumbo Cup. I had used one of these for many years but it developed a crack, so I bpught this version. Firstly, it feels much lighter and thinner than the original. In fact, the saucer is heavier than the cup. But secondly, and more importantly for me, it holds less liquid than the original. I mention these things so that others can informed decisions if the are looking for a straight replacement.

This is not a regular sized set for serving tea or any beverage, period! It is GIGANTIC 😄 When the description says it is 20 oz capacity, it is true! The cup suits for fruits/soup/cereal and the saucer suits for a fruits/salad/sandwich. The diameter of the cup is 5.2” and the saucer is 8.2”. I’m so torn as I was looking for a set like this for serving espresso/latte/coffee. I would not use this set for those beverages as it would take a while for me to finish one full cup and I also have to constantly heat it up to keep the leftover liquid warm/hot as the cup is simply too big. I wonder why the manufacture produced such a big size set for tea cup. I wish that they shrank down this set in size then it would be perfect or made another smaller size. The quality and the details of the set are great (ideal design for cup and saucer). The set is very well made without any flaw. It is sturdy and not too heavy. The handle and the saucer are easy to hold. I think for the size of the set, the price is ok ($36 plus tax). I’m keeping them anyway due to the quality and patterns.

Bello, ma decisamente.... GIGANTE! Era un regalo ed è stato apprezzato. Anche se non so se molto utilizzato viste le dimensioni davvero esagerate.
