The Bosch refill is handy, and saves time when running out of cutting thread. It only takes a few seconds to swap, and away you go. The thread can be replaced on the empty drum at your convenience.

A very uliterian object but nonetheless very useful and reliable, except tend to quickly wear and break if used on brambles but fine on grasses and herbs. Worth getting the dimensions exactly right as there are numerous different spools and this was my 3rd attempt at ordering the right one dispite being very careful with what I ordered, fortunatley they are not expensive objects but very frustrating and time consuming prsocess especially when plants are getting a spurt on.

This is a great product and very easy to fit and use, however it is rather expensive. Would instead recommend the spools of Bosch strimmer line sold on this very site, which at the time of writing this review is available in 24m lengths for the same price as a 6m pre-wound spool. So, (for those who aren't good at maths:)) you get four spools worth for the same price. It's not hard at all to wind the spools yourself, it can't be if I can do it! I just googled it and it worked out fine.

After several months giving up hope of ever finding the mystical 'Lawn' I found this! Admittedly I did find my self on the ground after falling off the chair whilst looking at the price of what's not much more that a plastic string BUT here's the thing if you're like me you might of tried the cheap ones before, you know that the 12 quid for the proper one is cheaper than having to explain, yet again, why your ordering more power tools on here because the one you bought 3 months ago has some how ended up in bits, with your other 'clearly faulty' power tools....apparently a hammer isnt always the best tool for 'fixing' things....Wreck It Ralph is a stone cold lie.I have used this now a few times... works well with very little swearing. Doesn't explode like some lethal bright red spaghetti escaping from an air cannon, which is great if you like having 2 functioning eyes. Strong stuff too good for chomping up weeds (not strong enough to tie up a large boat or anything, so don't do that...perhaps the instructions should mention this?)Anyway buy this one, I think its a 2 set....if it a single look for the 2 set, economies of scale appear to mean nothing in this topsy-turvy world we live in now... they should last ages.

£10 for a plastic circle and a bit of plastic wire...massively overpriced. It works OK and is easy to install but a complete rip off
