The Bosch 32R was recommended by some friends who had bought theirs a couple of years back - they had nothing but kind words for theirs. The other reviewers on desertcart also gave good reviews which confirmed my decision. So - running through a few key points. * Price - good value for money when compared to the others. * Delivery time - as ever with desertcart - delivered on time, on the day specified. * Assembly - OK - this was a bit of a mental exercise. The instructions could have been a little clearer (Bosch - this is your job, and we're not talking simple like furniture - just a bit more detail would have been good), but after getting the parts all laid out, and studying the photos on the box (as well as the instructions) the process itself was simple enough. * Lawn mowing ability. The fact it has metal blades gave immediately good results and I'm expecting the good results to continue over a longer period of time than plastic blades would have. The catcher did a good job. I've not yet tried it on different height settings. My neighbour also borrowed it to cut much longer grass. Again - good results. Of course - it's limited to 30cm of actual cut - so if you've got a lot of lawn - something larger would be required. My lawn measures around 25 square metres - cutting it did not take long. * Other points - it's nice and *light* - which makes pushing it around a breeze, as well as packing it away after the lawn is done. * Conclusion - great mower. However the instruction manual, whilst full of helpful cautions does not include assembly instructions. So, you get all the bits out of the box and with your post-Covid brain fog, go through the pack twice looking for an exploded diagram.....nada, its not there! However, there aren't many bits and doesn't take long to figure where there rough positions ought to be from the picture on the box. In order to prevent dis-assembly down the line, I suggest that you slide the inner sleeves of the red bits intended to help store the power lead over the push arm tubes before you try and mount the outer posts over them....otherwise they wont go on. Yes a bit of a pain but don't let my moan put you off. Once assembled it does a great job on a small lawn. I like the metal cutting blade, much better than the plastic thingies on my Hover mower that it replaces. Oh, and out of the box its comes set in scalp mode so you might want to adjust the front wheels to a higher level of cut for your first mow of Spring! Grass box collects well, keep an ear out and empty when the mower sounds funny! It was awkward and my machine was clean when I tried it- with wet grass in the mix; what a pain. It would only really matter though if you regularly changed height. If you just have one setting then it’ll be fine. **Q: can't see anywhere the cutting heights ? my current push mower cuts down to 12mm but I'm fed up pushing and find hovers too heavy and unwieldy** A: Its 20 - 60mm. So seems 32 R is the later version 32 12 - does not have the 2 holders for the wiring wrapping when not in use. 32 R has them 32 12 - says 95 db noise level, 32R - 94 db - no real difference here TBH 32 12 - Made in China, 32 R - Made in Hungary 32 12 - Has a Green bin for grass collection, 32 R has back. 32 12 - says weight 8 kgs on the actual machine, as opposed to 6.1kg, advertised on Amazon. On both - you can extend the 2 year warranty to 3 years by registering the product on Bosch website. It may look a bit cheap on the outside because of the plasticity but it is in fact of good quality and good price. Would definitely recommend. Con: The plastic handle of the grass collection box isn’t strong enough and keeps falling off, so I eventually gave up using it. It doesn’t really affect the lawn mower, though.
