PetSafeDrinkwell Ceramic Pagoda Fountain, Drinking Fountain for Cats and Dogs, Dual Water Stream - 2 Litre, Red

I had bought a plastic water fountain for my 6 cats to encourage them to drink more water. Especially as a couple of them prefer moving/ running water from a tap rather than a bowl. This was great until one of the little monsters became obsessed with hooking his claws underneath the part where the two pieces slot together and pulling it apart. As you can imagine having a daily indoor swimming pool is not ideal. So I decided to look to see if there was a heavier alternative and I came across this ceramic fountain.This fountain is a lot larger than my previous plastic one, and having 2 water streams is actually better with the amount of cats I have. I chose the red one and it really is a nice colour. This fountain is very heavy without any water in which made me confident that my little water monster wouldn’t be able to tip this one over.The fountain comes very well packaged and is very simple to assemble. After a quick wash I assembled it and filled it up. The two streams of water coming from each side of the tower do make quite a loud trickling sound constantly. Personally this does not bother me at all or make me need the toilet, but if you are someone that is affected by the sound of running water, then this might not be the fountain for you.After a few failed attempts to try and tip this water fountain, my little water monster gave up and hasn’t bothered since thank goodness. This fountain has been the best thing I have invested in.Now obviously it is a little pricier than some of the alternative plastic fountains you can buy, but honestly this is so much better for so many reasons. Unlike plastic ones this does not have loads of little nooks and crannies that are impossible to clean. The ceramic doesn’t stain like plastic does and is much easier to clean. It looks much more aesthetically pleasing in the home, and is more sturdy and robust compared to a plastic one. The water will stay fresher in this than a plastic fountain as ceramic doesn’t harbour as much bacteria. All in all this was the best purchase I have made. I don’t have an indoor swimming pool every day and my cats are drinking more water.I would highly recommend this fountain to all cat owners.

The media could not be loaded. It’s very easy to assemble , looks really sturdy and my kitty’s took to it straight away overall very pleasing to look at. Easy instructions to follow . Very pleased I bought this one it was worth paying more for

It's a nice solid object which it's easy to disassemble and clean and pleasant to look at. The fountain action is vigorous, and Is fairly noisy, but it's a neutral noise that it's easy to get accustomed to.Unfortunately the cats use it only sparingly but I still have hopes.

Lovely fountain for the cats although they’re not quite used to it. The motor is silent but the water dropping down the sides is much louder than I had anticipated. I’m always catching myself thinking I’ve left the tap running. I wish it had different speed settings. I think my cats would prefer a slower trickle and I think I’d find it more relaxing.

This is a beautiful fountain. I love listening to it and 1 of my cats loves it while the other won’t go near it.It looks really lovely and I am confident I made the right choice. (Blue)Bought 1 for my sisters cat who won’t use it, so they either love it or just ignore it.

The sound of the water falling is too loud (average measured at almost 60dB).

Its easy to set up and clean, it's nice to look at and it is quite relaxing to hear. My dogs love it and the water really is better to drink.

Honestly, this is a great quality product from the look of it. The ceramic is lovely and it looks very nice.However... the motor that is provided with these fountains are rubbish. I have had to return two of these now due to the motor lasting about a week. It then loses power and barely works. Therefore, save your money and look for a different item.
