It takes arm power and patience but honestly it's really good for what you need it for. The lid doesnt close shut tight on top of the basket and bowl base so the power grip you have on the handle while grinding vegetables feels a bit rocky.The guard thing you stick vegetables into so you dont grate yourself isnt the best because it retracts from the slightest amount of pressure, meaning you need mega hands to both hold the plunger down AND use it properly. Unless its not designed for hard raw vegetables; sorry carrot and potato lovers.The different inserts are cool but there's more inserts than the storage case can hold, and the egg yolk separater takes longer than it would to just use your fingers and wash your hands afterwards.All in all it's good for what you need to do and I still have mine a few years later.

This is a really great solution! It’s nice and compact and fairly easy to use, with the exception of the piece you’re supposed to attach to the veggie you’re slicing. It was very easy to accidentally let the onions I was cutting get to small and I ended up actually damaging this piece on my first use by having it run into the blade too many times. Be really mindful of not slicing the veggie down to low so you don’t do what I did!

I really really like it, good size, so sharp and love the color. But there is one negative thing about it which is when you done with the carrots or anything veggie or fruits that has color, its leaving a sting on a plate and on the white part of sliding. I added a pic that can make sense otherwise I really like it and happy to purchased it.

We purchased this so the kids could safely help prep food in the kitchen. I like that it has an enclosed receptacle for collecting the cut food. It would be great if all of the accessories fit inside. While the blades aren’t as sharp as some mandolins I have used, it does suffice for what we are using it for.

Very sturdy mandoline. I love that all the diferent acedories have its own box, for easy storage.Now i can do my own zukini nodels.Comes with instructions and pictures.Instructions do not mention if you can clean it in the dishwasher so i was clea ing it by hand.

In using the guide to protect the fingers when grating garlic, the garlic seems to always slide out from between the grater and the guide. Perhaps the pointed fingers holding the garlic against the grater is a bit too long.

I love this slicer. Cuts things great. I love that it holds the food that you just cut. Easy to use. And I love the color too. It's as close to purple as I could find

These things are dangerous. If you’ve never used one before (like me and my partner), then be very, very careful as the blades are very sharp. Unfortunately on first use, we ended up in A&E with a severed piece of thumb despite being very careful. The hand protector does not fit on all vegetables, and if you’re still going to attempt slicing without the protector then you do so at your own risk. Even being very careful like we were could result in an accident.I don’t want to tar this product, because the A&E nurse guessed what item had done the damage before we said, so mandoline related injuries are very common, and it’s not this specific mandoline’s fault. They are, by nature, very sharp.All the components that come with this slicer seem sturdy and very useful. The food container was a great place to keep the veggies we were too scarred to come back to slicing. But really this product needs to come with instructions and safety warnings. It is a bit of common sense, but also instructions advising against use when a veggie doesn’t fit in the protector would make someone think twice.If it weren’t for the accident we’d probably still be using it, but unfortunately it brings back bad memories now so won’t be touched again.

This is a ncie sized mandolin that comes with various cutting blades. I have had larger ones in the past but thsi smaller one is much more suitable now.This mandolin has a bowl with a handle, and the lid slots into this handle so provides a good handle to grip. I have found this handle makes it easier for me to use the mandolin as it means I can tilt or move it easier so that it is comfier for me to use.The blades slot into the lid and are very sharp. I used this for making some fine coleslaw and also for cheese. There is a food holder which you can use to hold the food, especially when your fingers start to get closer to the blades.This is great for me as I am the only one who likes coleslaw and cheese. It is great for grating carrots for salads. I should also mention that there is also a sieve with this and this is ideal for being able to drain any liquid out of the food. This is essential when making potato rosti.This is easy to use and the smaller size makes it easy to store. Compact and useful. I would happily recommend it.

I was looking forward to receiving this item for review but having seen and tested it I have been left disappointed.It was a lot smaller than I imagined and due to this, it was awkward to hold the handle and use.The inclusion of a sieve/drain basket is very helpful and time-saving.I also liked that it came with a container to safely store the blades inside the bowl, when not in use.Sadly, it is very messy to use as not all the vegetable makes it into the bowl, whereas a handheld grater/slicer can be held diagonally on a chopping board or bowl, this makes me wonder if it is worthwhile.It was difficult to keep the protective hand holder on its tracks when in use which again created a delay and mess.I tried to slice a larger potato without the protective guard, as shown on the product page video but found it hard to do smoothly, which was not helped by the moisture, this resulted in me slipping and cutting my finger.In summary, and on balance, this is not one for me.
