Nice and classy
Stand is basic. The stem is extendable. Easily assembled and took about 10 minutes. Surface area at the head is ample for standard size bookshelf speaker. I have placed an Echo Studio there. It really looks nice and classy. The stand is well built with no wobble. I feel that the price was fair also.

Good quality stands
Easy to assemble, good quality stands. With the height adjustment I'm able to have my monitors at ear level allowing for better listening. My speakers fit well and don't seem to have moved at all. I haven't really used the cal management not sure how 2 little plastic brackets can help tbh

Great value for money
Assembly is easy. Product quality is pretty good. Only soldered on one corner of each base which made me have my doubts but quite sturdy and solid stands. Arrived a little scratched and a small piece of plastic had snapped off but will have been down to courier service and doesn't affect the product durability or functionality.

The stands were easy to assemble
Thanks so much for the Nordell Speaker stands, I have now had time to rearrange the studio and try them out.The stands were easy to assemble, the pdf instructions were helpful, although the images at point of sale said it all,and seem very strong and sturdy, the triangle shape as the base is a good feature, giving the stands extra stability. The choice of hard floor/carpet 'feet' is excellent- the carpet 'feet' option also helps with stability. The height adjustment is simple to operate and the use of the locking chain gives added security. I particularly like the option to rotate the speaker head as angling to find the 'sweet spot' when mixing is vital. I am using these with a pair of Mackie Mk 3 studio monitors, fairly hefty and have had no vibration problems. It's a great idea to just invert the pole to fix a standard PA speaker, should I ever need to...All in all, they are a good buy, look as if they will last and look stylish too- a bonus

Better then what I was expecting.
Well built stands. I have a pair of Tannoy 605's that I use as studio monitors, and they fit perfectly on top. They come with a pin that goes through the sliding pole to act as a safety catch in case the friction lock releases. It also comes with some plastic clips to hold the speaker cables, but I found them to be useless and just zip-tied the cables to the pole once I got the height set correctly for my setup.

Excellent value for money
These are really sturdy monitors. I have my PreSonus Eris 4.5 on them, and they look great, sit well, and most importantly, sound good. The triangular base is a little odd, but is pretty stable, and you can adjust the spikes (for carpet) to level the stands. My only small gripe is the height of the stands - I have them at the lowest level, and that's ear level for me. I'd appreciate if they could go a bit lower, and I'm definitely not going to use any of the height extension. However, compared to my wobbly previous stands these are fantastic. You could probably spend a lot more, and you'll no doubt get a lot more in return. But for a bedroom music hobbyist as myself these do the job.

Just about OK but not really 'Premium'
I've just received and assembled these stands and I have to say I am not overly impressed. My overall rating would be 'adequate - just about'. They are in essence fairly simple. There's a triangular base, a support pole (which is just a smaller pole inside a larger pole to provide the height adjustment telescope fashion) and a top plate for the speaker. The base and the plate are attached to the support pole with a single bolt at each end. This is OK for the top plate but for the bottom base joint it's frankly inadequate. The bottom bolt needs to be beefier because this is the joint that will take all the stress of any sideways force on the stand, which could be quite a lot with a heavy monitor on top, but it is just a longer version of the top bolt. Also it screws into a thin and bendy looking metal plate mounted inside the end of the pole. The instructions warn you 'not to overtighten' - because if you do you will strip the thread, and I reckon even with the small supplied Allen key you could do it. Overall it's a weak looking affair - it will do for starters but I don't trust it and the way round will be to eventually weld the poles to the base - drastic but effective. The triangular bases are sensible because as everyone knows a tripod is a very stable footing. So far so good. Unfortunately this shape also makes for those sharp and pointy corners, and to make up for having no stabilizing weight the bases have to be quite large (about 18 inches per side) and so stick out a lot, making them easy to trip over sending your monitors crashing to the floor. Also, I really don't fancy accidentally walking into them in socks or bare feet so might try and cover them with some split cheap tennis balls or something like that. And whilst we are on safety, these stands adjust up to an insane 5 feet in height; there is no way I would take them up to anything like that with some heavy monitors on top (and they're all heavy) as they would just be dangerously unstable. I think if you really wanted your monitors that high you would have to screw the bases to the floor (or at least a large sheet of chipboard) and use fabric straps to secure the monitors. A quicker/simpler method might be to take advantage of the large bases and weigh them down with several sandbags. The height adjustment itself seems quite good. The clamp screw is reasonably firm but if it slips there is a backup mechanism which is simply a locking pin pushed through a series of holes in the top pole - which will be familiar to anyone who's ever used a set of car axle stands. You just push the pin through the set of holes nearest your chosen height and it then can't drop more than a couple of inches or so. On the downside, the stands could go lower because even at the lowest point, the top pole is sticking out of the bottom pole by quite a bit (as you can see in the pictures). And while I can see I would never want them as high as they can go but I might want them lower, another mod might be to lop a few inches off the bottom of the upper poles. The last good point I'll allow is that the top plate has a couple of rubber strips across it which my monitors at least sit on quite nicely and should cushion them and stop them buzzing, as well as providing a firm base if I need to strap them ( and I think I do need to strap them because I know the stands are going to get tripped over). After that it's more problems I'm afraid. There is definitely some problem with the packaging. The stands come 'flat-packed' and while I could see no particular shipping damage on my parcel the bottom ends of both the lower poles were badly marked and it looked like the various bits of metal had been repeatedly knocking into each other in the boxes. Also one of base corners (see above) had quite a bad ding and will need dressing off with a file and repainting. And. . . . . there is something rattling around inside one of the bases which because it is sealed can only be got out by drilling a hole. Because of these faults I did consider returning the item but I couldn't be bothered with repacking it all and the replacement would likely not be that much better. In short there's nothing remotely 'premium' about these stands. They appear to be typical generic chinese type stuff and looking around they are quite widely available from a number of suppliers under a number of brand names - even here on Amazon you can find another what looks to be identical set under a different name for a couple of quid less. They are just about usable out of the box with small nearfield monitors (if you're careful) or just some lightweight non-active speakers. They will be OK with some tidying up and mods and if you want some cheap adjustable monitor stands there doesn't appear to be much else out there. Personally as a cheapskate/DIYer I'll hang on and do the mods but anyone wanting a decent studio quality item with a proper weighted base will probably have to spend quite a bit more money on something like the K&Ms which unfortunately start at about £100. Each ! Also, take note Dangleberry Music - I did look at some of the cables you were offering under the 'joint promotion' but the Jack-to XLR cables are totally wrong for monitor use - they should have a male not female XLR and be TRS jack/balanced not mono-unbalanced.
