The dosage level for my dog, being a Westie and therefore in the smaller range of dogs, is below the levels marked on the measurements given. Even this minor inconvenience does not stop me from giving this product a five star rating.Our beloved 12 year old Westie has had skin problems for the last year and despite many, expensive, visits to the vet and various pills and potions including daily steroids nothing was clearing it up. In fact it was that bad that we were embarrassed to take him out in public. The poor dog was getting to the stage that there were open sores on his skin.We started giving him antihistamine pills daily which seemed to help with the itch but there was no improvement on his coat. After a few weeks of adding this to his meals we can’t believe the difference in his coat.Gone are the nasty open sores and also his fur has grown back healthier then ever. So much so we took him off the daily steroids, which I was never to keen on him getting in the first place, and we cannot believe the difference in his coat. Fur that we never thought would grow back again is thick and healthy. Visitors to the house and everyone who has seen him lately have openly remarked in the difference.He is still a wee bit itchy but nothing compared to how bad he was and to be fair the pollen count has been pretty high this year. Can’t praise this oil enough as it has resulted in one happy little dog with a lovely thick coat once again.I would also like to add that we have had no adverse results, stomach or bowel problems, from him consuming this but we do split his daily dosage between his morning and evening meal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had read that owners had tried omega oils of sorts with their dogs to great effect. After reading reviews on Amazon *by A***X on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2016* I bought this product after doing some research re my Lhasa Apso dog's constant licking habit. From reading forums etc, it became clear that our dog had a skin condition that is called allergy dermatitis. Other owners of this breed had discovered this with their pets after often paying hundreds or even thousands of pounds to vets to have tests done to confirm the diagnosis.The symptoms and situations they described were identical to the issues my new rehomed dog was suffering from. She had come from a home with six other dogs and I suspect this habit was overlooked or missed due to the obvious handful the previous owner was dealing with. We had read that owners had tried omega oils of sorts with their dogs to great effect. After reading reviews on Amazon, we opted for this product as it seemed the best fit for our dog, was reasonably priced and was very highly rated.I cannot tell you how wonderful this product is. From the very first time my dog had a dose, her licking stopped within the hour. I am unsure exactly just how it works, but it does. She has went from being constantly licking one side of her body or paws to absolutely no licking. She just is just very happy and also seems far more relaxed. We do not put it in her food, but just give her it in a little syringe and reward her with a treat.She did smell a little like cod liver oil the first few days, but this was well worth putting up with for the amazing results. I wholeheartedly recommend this product. Really great to see the difference in my pet. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product....not if you have 2 dogs though *by M***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 April 2019* So, I ordered this for my JRT, Kipper. He has grass allergy and it’s always worse come spring. He’s constantly nibbling his paws and they get sore, so after some research I decided to give this a go as nothing else has worked. Now, he’s only been on it a week, but I can confirm that he is bothering his paws much less, redness is reduced, his coat is super shiny. However.....my chihuahua, Schubert, has developed a curious obsession. Since the first day of Kippers treatment I’ve noticed a marked increase in Schuberts interest in Kippers arse. Over the last few days he has been constantly rimming the poor boy. I say poor as it’s hard to tell if akipper actually objects to this increased attention. But it really is quite off putting. Schubert follows Kipper everywhere now, waiting for every opportunity to dig deep. I started giving it to him as well in the hope that it would compensate or something but this hasn’t worked. It’s a tough one, we don’t have to listen to Kippers nibbling and his skin IS better, but the backdrop to our life is now Schuberts constant slurping.
