Learn everything about networking for begginers
This is an excellent book series from Cisco. Everything you need to know about networks, at least for beginners. The series contains a lot of exercises and detail explanation of everything "networking".If you consider career in networking, start with this series. If you are interested how the network, routers, switches are setup and configured, start with this series. I don't remember if the books come with the simulation software from CISCO - Packet Tracer, but get it if you can.

Just what I needed.
I bought this book for my college Cisco course. It (along with the Study Guide) was exactly the same as the book(s) from the college book store, but cheaper. I got both books for the price of this book in the store. Delivery was fast. So all in all. It is what I ordered and wanted. No surprises.

Accessing the WAN: CCNA Exploration Companion Guide [Hardcover]-use during CCNA course .
Used this to study while I was doing the CCNA course . Helped me those few times I couldn't go online to study the material .Very detailed in some instances as well as long -winded in other cases but the information is invaluable . I know they say " print is dead " but in some cases it's a lifesaver .

Using 'Accessig the WAN' in CCNA4 class
This text was very useful throughout the CCNA 4 course I was enrolled in. This material, along with the instructor's information and the Cisco online material/PacketTracer labs provided an in depth look at WAN issues. I am keeping this book as reference material for any future projects that may come up.

Lot better than Networking Academy book
I'm currently in the Cisco Networking Academy and the books they give you for each module are basically just softcover written versions of the Academy's online course, without the pictures, illustrations, tables, or diagrams . No index, no glossary and no end of chapter review questions and answers.Dull.The hardcover companion guides have everything and last forever. Yeah, they cost more, but to me they are worth it.

good
good it was good, what else is there to say, it was a pretty technical book if you know what I mean. If you don't go to sleep by reading it you are going to learn something. Actually, it is mostly for my computer technician wife.

Well written, easy to learn from
This series is very well done and by the time you finish the book and the exercises you've pretty much learned what you needed to know. The packet tracers on the companion disc are very useful. The size is convenient for reading and studying.

Great help for ccna student.
I bought all four CCNA books in this series, I bought them in my second year of university and am now in my third, they are all great books. They are easy to read, well laid out and contain all the information that you would need to know for this part of the course. I use mine all the time, they also contain all the relevant packet tracer labs for the CCNA syllabus. These are so great, I'm currently using one to help me write a network security dissertation for my degree, I thought they would be boring reference books, but if you have a genuine interest in the subject you can actually read these quite easily unlike the usual boring textbooks you get in degrees.I would highly recommend getting one or all of these books, I'm keeping mine for life.

Good for netacad.
These are good for netacad but not for the official CCNA, I have read all 4 of these and then the official cert library for CCNA and would recommend them over these. If your just want to get the concepts this book is good but not enough for the exams.

The books run along the course and only deviate from it by a couple of words. They are great books to own.
