After a season of traumatic events, I turned to Bach flowers to help shift my body out of fight or flight. Initially, I used Rescue Sleep as I found it profoundly helpful when I would wake up in the middle of the night, heart pounding and reliving some hard memories. I shared it with a family member, and they, too, were shocked at how well it helped. After that, I was hooked. I bought this particular remedy for my kiddo, who has stage fright. Mimulus is indicated for known fears. I mix it in their water bottle with larch the day before a big performance and on the day of. It has helped them so much, they now insist on having it before a nerve-racking event. This works gently. It's not like a beta blocker or sedative type feel, you just shift from anxious mode to regulated. I love that you can mix it in juice or food or take it straight up. It has a slightly sweet brandy-like quality to it. Will keep this stocked at all times.

This product has changed my cat’s life!! She suffered from debilitating anxiety. She hid under the bed constantly, spending most of the day growling anytime any of my other cats came anywhere near her. Anytime anyone in the house moved slightly, she flinched, afraid an attack was being launched against her. She REALLY wanted to be an only cat. She was miserable. I tried all the other OTC drugs I could buy, including others by this maker, and nothing was working! I thought I was going to have to get her Prozac! This product has given her back her life!!! It’s not possible to squeeze 4 drops in her mouth, but I just squeeze in a tiny bit. It has no taste and she doesn’t mind it. A little while later she is calm and stress free. She PLAYS WITH MY OTHER CATS!! It lasts all day! She is happy again. She rarely hides and when she does it’s only for a short time before she comes out again! One of our rescue dogs is terrified of thunder and lightening and fireworks. He paces and cries and his legs tremble. I use this product TOPICALLY for him-put 2 or 3 drops on his fur in between his eyes and rub gently up and down his snout so he can smell it. PRODUCT CONTAINS ALCOHOL AND IS NOT SAFE FOR DOGS TO INGEST! Use in combination with Bach rescue remedy for dogs (one for dogs is alcohol free-there is also one for people that contains alcohol so make sure you get the one for dogs if that’s what your going to use it for). Together these 2 products help my dog calm down. He still refuses to go outside but he settles and goes to his safe spot in the hallway and stops crying, pacing and shaking. Could also put a few drops of this product on your dogs bed or one of his toys to help calm him down but our dog doesn’t care about toys and won’t go in his bed when he’s scared. Only gave 4 stars because of the price. The bottle is very small.

I received the bottle of mimulus last week and I have taken 4 drops 4 times a day like it says and I must say I am starting to feel the effects a few days later. I was skeptical but it works wonders! Although of course how soon the effects are felt depends on what symptoms you feel. My symptom was fear of public speaking and making a mistake when I spoke because I stutter, and I have stuttered since childhood. Coupled with impatiens, the mimulus helps me to gain confidence and be calm and not be afraid of my known fears. Today, Jan 10, 2012 I have felt an improvement in my fluency of speech. It will take a by more time of continuous use (3 weeks) for the effects of mimulus to really settle in because I've been stuttering for years. But it is already working for me. These flower treatments work and they work fast! Mimulus is 4 fear of KNOWN things, i.e., fear of gunshots, GUNS, fireworks, thunder, lightening, men, women, cops, authority figures who use CONTROL/INTIMIDATION, people in white coats, traveling in cars-planes-traines etc. Mimimulus is used for PHOBIAS. For dogs who R fear biters or 4 humans w/rage & potty mouths (of whom I am one). good luck.
