Bish Bash Bosch and the job is done in half the time
Excellent bit of kit . Complete with its own storage box . Easy to use and with the tool which I also purchased at the time , it made light work of getting the floor tiles up . It's right what they say . You need the right tools to do the job . This was so easy and made , the age of a hammer and bolster seem like a bygone time . The item is a good piece of kit for home use and saves you an age in "tool time " Well made and a fair price for a time saver .

Great item but Amazon Exceptionally expensive
I love the drill but have some issues with Amazon, read on.I have used one of these (belonging to my son) for several weeks now. It is a solid and very easy to use piece of equipment. Robust and pretty well made, certainly much better that all the easten rubbish about in this day and age. An SDS converter attaches easily and allows ordinary drill bits to be used so no need to restock all those bits you already have. The drill, particularily for a fairly powerful SDS type is quite compact. The weight is nice and the feel of the drill is comfortable. Being an SDS also elliminates the need for a chuck key as the SDS drill bits just insert and a simple twist holds all in lpace. A word of advice / warning. Keep this well lubricated or a drill bit will either not be able to be engaged or as an alternate will be all but not capable of removal. PRICE, Being £85.95 I accepted the price on face value as being fairly average, I took the lazy route (being a member of the Prime delivery service with Amazon) and ordered without pricing elsewhere. Whoops, bad idea. The Prime next day before 1pm was not met. I have noticed that Amazon prices have been getting less compeditive and customer service standards falling. I belatedly typed the model number in a search engine to discover this drill not just cheaper elsewhere but massively cheaper in some cases. (£49.99 at homebase at all places, reserved through cashback site plus nectar points takes another £7.00 off) The moto, check out the prices elsewhere. Amazon are charging me for the return postage as it is being returned in the cheaper, elsewhere circumstances. The price difference is so huge it would be silly not to do so. If they offered a pricematch, I would not return.

Quality tool
I only use for occasional DIY not professionally so cannot rate on durability etc. I found it comfortable to use, not too heavy. Ergonomically well designed, easy to hold etc. Long lead is useful - in most cases at home it will reach the nearest socket without the need of an extension lead.Disappointed that Bosch do not do an attachment for this for using regular drill bits - I had to buy one from Amazon.

Essential tool for the reno
Was really impressed by the power and usability of this. While chasing out walls for our new home we had borrowed a dewalt cordless from our electrician and found the power and versitily very useful, but by the third time of having to borrow it I realised I needed to have one myself.I have an 18v drill driver so considered the cordless route (battery ecosystem and all that) but decided to go with this one as the green Bosch 18v sds uses propitary bits and isn't particularly powerful. Once plugged in and using the correct chisel bits this drill made easy work of brick, breeezeblock and concrete. The depth cage will come in useful while drilling out the screw holes for the back boxes. If you have a lot of square footage that requires ultimate versility and portability then go for the Bosch Pro or another big boy name. If, like me, you're doing some stuff short term but want a powerhouse for when you need to mount a TV or anything heavy, can't go wrong with this. And yes, as many comments have mentioned, you need to get SDS bits, without the chuck adaptor this WILL NOT work with your standard drill bits.

Its really Good , what more could you want .
Type of useAdvanced DIY .Used on rotary / hammer with a 20mm core bit for pipes and on hammer only action to chase out cement for repointing , this drill made it ALL easy, absolutely no problem , of course removing old mortar you have to learn best practise with the drill and which way is most effective. That just took couple of minutes .Previously I was struggling with repointing with hammer/ chisel because of hard mortar , this drill made job trouble free and lot less ( 50 % at least ) work.Drill performanceWell built , powerful , versatile , didn't jam in bricks , doesn't get hot when used continuously or enthusiastically .ConclusionI paid more for the Bosch name on the tool ( though I know it was made in the far east ) because I hoped the maker would ensure quality in the product .Good decision . Yes , I would recommend drill . well worth the money .
