BaByliss Ombre 235 Degree Celsius Styler 2082DU Hair Straightener

I have Afro-textured hair, and this flat iron gets my hair bone straight. I used to use my 1 1/2" GHD straighteners before this one, but the GHDs weren't able to get my hair as straight as these could. The plates are super long so you can grab big sections and it makes it easier to do curls. So many temperature settings to choose from as well. Only downside is that the heat dial only shows you numbers, it doesn't show the temperatures that the numbers correspond to, but other than that, these are perfect. Also cuts down my straightening time to about 15-20mins compared to an hour!

Grand for the price. Of course not as good as GHD's and the likes, but you shouldn't expect that for £30. Love the look of them - pink/purple ombré looks really smart. Do a great job of straightening my hair - and I haven't had it anywhere near the hottest setting.

I am so impressed with this product. It is quick to use because it has extra long heating plates. My hair is super straight and looks like I have been to the hairdresser. People like and comment on my lovely hair and haircut now and its the same haircut I had before I bought these straighteners. It heats up quick (15 secs). It has an auto off button. Lots of different temperature choices and it looks sleek and pretty. Best buy ever.

EDIT: Had to send back the item because one of the plates is coming loose; I did not notice this until after the 3rd use. I hope the replacement will be better. Photo added to illustrate the issue. I primarily ordered this for curling, as I've been told curling with a round barreled straightener is faster, easier and longer lasting than with a wand. It took a bit of practicing, but I can indeed create a *beautiful* head of big bouncy curls with the straightener (see picture). It is quicker and easier than wand curling, and there is no risk of burning yourself, which is nice. *However* even with an insane amount of hairspray, the curls end up as limp waves within a few hours of making them, which makes this a bit useless. I will try again in the next several weeks, but if that happens again I will return it. By contrast, if I use my curling wand, although a bit more work, my curls will look better on day 4 than they do curling with this iron after 5 hours. I'm sure it's great for straightening. It handles well and heats up *very* fast. I don't need it for straightening though as my hair is naturally super straight, sleek and silky. So can't really comment there :).

Excellent price for this product but not the best quality as the plates do not fully line up, meaning you have to straighten smaller amount of hair at a time. (This info is from the wife, not me).

Replacement for GHDs as I couldn't afford a new pair. Really cool colour and really effective. Get super hot and the dial to control temp is great. Nice long lead etc. Really great price. I have thick blonde hair that gets a bit frizzy and untamed and these really do just as good as GHDs.

I've got medium hair and bought this hair straightener along with the same model of hair dryer a week ago. I did my hair yesterday and it was simply amazing The hair dryer would dry my hair fast and the straightener would straighten my hair in a perfect way. I just love it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good hair dryer and hair straightener.

Was pleasantly surprised at these. My daughter has ghd’s She got for her 13th and yes they are better but for the price difference I would definitely choose these! Hair stays straight, don’t tug, don’t create lines in my hair, hair isn’t at all dry, broken or damaged so really am pleased with these! I paid £24 bargain!
