Derwent Academy Watercolour Colouring Pencils, Set of 36, 2300226

These are very high quality watercolour pencils, and amazing value for Money. They come in a wide range of vibrant colours which blend well both as pencils and with a brush or brush pen as Watercolour pigments. The case is strong and sturdy so they are very portable. I also like that it is pure white on the inside as it makes a great palette to mix on. If you are looking for a good set to learn the basics of watercolour with pencils, I would recommend this set.

Seem reasonable enough, I’ve not used watercolour pencils before but I think next time I’ll explore another brand or better grade.

These are quality products as always by Derwent. I have never used the water soluble pencils before and was surprised how versatile they are. The colours when applied dry are soft, but if you wet them slightly they are bright and vibrant. You can use them as dry colour, with a wet brush to colour, as a wet brush to the paper, as a precise line and then wet it… it just goes on and on - It is worth looking at their use on Youtube as the variation in use is surprising.

My Daughter is taking art for her GCSE's - and needed something a little nicer and better quality than what the school pack had (Which I maid £20 for) These are really highly pigmented pencils - and have a wonderful watercolour option. Will buy again, and would recommend for any artist or hobbyist - that wants a great product with versatility.

Theyre ok, perhaps Im using them wrong but I just don't find any satisfaction from them they seem to be a little bitty. Id much rather stick to paints. Im sure for someone more experienced they would be just fine.

A beautiful set of watercolour colouring pencils - lovely range of colours and I love the way by adding a bit of water you can get a very effective watercolour effect.

pencils not Derwent quality. Such terrible wood on 32 out of 36 pencils wont sharpen. I wasted my money and wont trust Amazon on "Quality Art Products again!

I've only just received these watercolour pencils and initially I was very disappointed. The colours don't seem very strong and some of them, like the cream, for example, are very difficult to transfer onto paper - it is hardly visible! I thought I was going to be able to use them like the Caran D'ache watersolubale crayons (straight onto paper and then blend the colours with water). These pencils, however, don't work very well with that technique. BUT, I've tried a different technique and dipped the tips of the pencils into water first and as if by magic the colours turned all bright and strong with an almost creamy texture. This way I can have the strength of paint with the precision of a pencil stroke. While initially I thought these pencils were a waste of money, now I think I can very much use them in my art journalling for outlining and accenting smaller areas. I've also ordered the Derwent artbars, which should be suitable for my initial purpose of covering larger areas. I think these two products will complement each other perfectly.

Die Stifte von dieser Firma sind sehr gut. Kann man nur empfehlen. Sie stehen den teuren Stiften von Faber Castell in nichts nach.

Estos si que son buenos. Tienen mucho pigmento y queda genial al acuaralearlos. Colores super bonitos. Muy recomendable y precio económico. Otros lápices de colores no tienen casi pigmento y raspan el papel al pintar, estos no, tienen suficiente pigmento y lo sueltan bien, así que dan buen color e intensidad a tus dibujos. Si además los usas como acuarela, pues te ira genial porque al tener mas pigmento no deja marcas en el papel, y una vez eches el agua para acuarearlo, no dejará la marca de haber pintado primero.

I have a positive opinion when it comes to Derwent; when it comes to the Academy line I had some concerns regarding quality, however they just feel great, of course are not as vibrant as the regular watercolour line, but they do the job. If you're thinking about poor quality based on the price, I'll say is not the case... if you're in a budget, but want to try watercolour or haven't use them before and want to experiment you should get them.

Ordine ricevuto con grande puntualità. Ho acquistato questi colori perché non li avevo mai provati, ma avevo sentito vari appassionati di disegno decantarne le lodi. In effetti, non posso che dire cose positive, presentano un tratto intenso, quasi pastoso e pieno. La gamma dei colori è molto bella e riccca. Inoltre la mina non si rompe mai e rimane sempre integra. La scatola in metallo è davvero bella e piacevole da guardare. Insomma, ottimo acquisto!

J'ai acheté la boîte de 72 crayons aquarelables. Les crayons sont légers, numérotés pour les retrouver après avoir fait un nuancier. La palette de couleurs est vraiment très belle. Avec 72 crayons aquarelables on arrive à faire de jolis mélanges avec d'autres nuances de couleurs. Les crayons se taillent très bien et les couleurs prennent tout leurs éclats sur un papier spécifique pour l'aquarelle humidifié.... Un peu chers mais j'aime bien avoir différentes marques de crayons aquarelables pour avoir un panel de couleurs beaucoup plus grandes. Livré rapidement, dans une boîte en métal recouvert de plastique, je regrette que la boîte ne soit pas plus protégée. Heureusement je n'ai pas eu de casses de mines ni de doublons. Mais pour le prix ça ne serait pas un luxe. Ces crayons aquarelables sont vraiment très bien, les couleurs fondent, s'étalent et se fondent très bien entre elles. C'est très agréable de faire de l'aquarelle avec. J'en suis satisfaite et je les recommande vivement si comme moi vous avez envie d'avoir plus de couleurs sous la main. Souvent dans les différentes marques pour une même couleur les pigments sont différents et donnent beaucoup plus de nuances voir des couleurs totalement différentes.
