A steady hand plus the ability to work precisely and methodically...if you are a messy slap dash kind of person this is not for you, stick to sugar based water soluble waxes or just go to a salon.Those who have left negative reviews obviously do not have much experience with DIY waxing, or just haven't bothered to research professional waxing techniques.You MUST:1. PREPARE your workspace (cover the floor), have all your waxing supplies laid out in order of use and in easy reach. Sit in front of a large mirror for waxing intimate/ sensitive areas.2. Pre-treat your skin - it should be clean and dry, apply a light layer of a thin oil (I use J.baby oil) ,then dust the area lightly with talc powder3. Warm the wax to the correct consistency (thick honey!) Don't faff about with running back and forth from the microwave or try heat it in a bain-marie on the stove, if you are serious about doing the job properly buy a wax heater for best results, as it maintains the temperature throughout the job.4. Focus, and WORK IN SMALL SECTIONS applying a little wax initially until your technique is up-to-scratch for larger areas.5. Apply a thin layer in the direction of your hair growth, using the edge of the spatula to spread it evenly6. Immediately apply the strip while the wax is warm, leaving a free edge to grip it for removal7. IMPORTANT -Use your palm/fingers to smooth the strip into the wax over your skin, rubbing with even pressure in the direction of hair growth 2-3 times...if you miss this step don't expect the wax to be removed! Repeat using the same strip if you didn't get all the wax off in the first pull.7. Peel back strip (quickly!) in the opposite direction of the hair growth, pulling as flat/ parallel to your skin as possible (do not rip off the strip upward!)8. Finish up by gently cleansing and moisturising your skin. Then enjoy being completely hairless for at least 2 weeks! ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Potentially dangerous, can lead to nightmare glued-skin scenarios and does not even remove hair properly. *by W***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 July 2018* This is essentially permanent glue. It sticks everywhere and will not come off no matter what. Removal is extremely painful. Your hands, your floor and everything it touches is either permanently destroyed by it or requires intense scrubbing with specific pure oil-based substances to remove it. If removal fails with the strips, the area you covered with the wax will remained covered in it and no amount of soap or hot water will remove it, again you will have to scrub it off with oil for a very long time and you will probably keep finding residue everywhere for the next week or so. I had a particularly bad experience as the strip failed to remove a thick layer of wax which ended up gluing my thighs together and then my hands when I tried to scrub it off. I had no oils in the house to remove it and had to go to sleep with my skin glued together (which destroyed my bed sheets as well) until the next day I was saved by an Amazon Prime delivery of a tea tree oil that after two hours in the shower helped me remove most of the wax. You can easily end up in the emergency room if you're not careful and don't have oils at hand to remove the wax in case of emergency. I do not recommend this in any situation. I have pretty thick and strong hairs that come off just fine with "cold wax" or "honey wax" which is the type that melts easily with hot water. I would suggest to purchase that kind instead as it will do the trick and avoid nightmare situations like the one I had. Having your skin glued together is a terrifying experience, you're unable to move or touch anything (anything I had to touch was either destroyed or required deep cleaning with oil) and I pretty much had what I think was the first panic attack I have ever experienced. This may sound silly or dramatic but I promise you it's a real thing that I still cannot believe has happened to me. Just to remove some extra hair. Not worth it is an understatement. This may not happen to everyone, but avoid this product for your own safety because it CAN happen and there's no need for it when there are much safer alternatives. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Will keep on buying as long as they keep making it *by M***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 July 2019* The best wax I've ever used (think I'm on my third tub now)! I've recommended it to so many people and they all loved it too. It's so quick. I have a lot of thick stubborn hair and this gets it all in one go including shorter hairs too. The only downside is it cools down very quickly after heating up but I have a wax warmer so it's not really an issue for me but something to bear in mind if you don't have one.
