What is the difference between this and the kp-108in version?

I am sorry to disagree with Derek Edge's reply but I think he is wrong.The 'P' in IP at the end denotes the back of the print has a postcode pack, so you can write on it like a postcard and sent it in the post !The 'N' on IN at the end denotes normal and just has lots of feint 'Canon' printed all the back, so is really intended for albums etc.He IS correct that the 108 denoted the number of prints.Once again is incorrect about the 1 and 2 ink cartridges, BOTH come with THREE ink cartridges and SIX packs of 18 sheets of paper, hence the 108 prints.To double check this I have just opened two brand new boxes of both and this is 100% correctWhen you think about it why would Canon make an ink cartridge that does 36 prints and one that does 54 prints, it doesn't make economic sense for them to produce a 54 print cartridge JUST FOR THE '1080IP' ?ALL Ink cartridges for the Postcard sized prints are for 36 Prints (It is different for credit card sizes, which use are made for 18) and that is why you can either buy print packs of 36 (1 Ink cartridges) or 108 (3 Ink cartridges).The cassettes hold 18 sheets at a time and therefore with each ink cartridge you will use 2 packs of paper.I have used the Canon Selphy Printers since 2004 and owned the CP-330, CP740, CP750, CP910 and now the CP1200 and have used them both as a professional and amateur with every type of paper and cassette that Canon have produced, so I do know a 'LITTLE' about them :-)If Derek has got 53 prints (and I don't doubt him) from an ink cartridge I can only assume it is a 3rd Party cartridge (there are a few out there, but I personally wouldn't use them) and NOT a genuine CANON one... there is no other explanation.As I say I have literally printed many thousands and used KP-108IN and KP-108IP and I am 100% sure my explanations are correct.Once again, BIG apologies to Derek, but I am afraid you are wrong.I hope this clears the matter up for everyone.VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE (Problem fully solved now) :Apologies firstly to Derek, I have today received the Canon RP-108 Kit from Amazon, it is the first time I have ever bought this particular kit.Firstly there is no IP or IN after the number either on the box or on the Canon website, for some reason Amazon seem to have added the IP..The whole point of this post is that this pack DOES only have TWO Ink/Ribbon cassettes each one capable of producing 54 prints with 3 of the supplied paper packs.To show that the cassette is capable of 54 prints and NOT the usual 36 the cassette is coloured WHITE an not the usual grey.This is where the confusion has come, and what threw me was the IP and IN designation Derek mentioned and I still stand by that for any of the paper kits EXCEPT THIS ONE.Finally to close this, the paper is plain on the back and not a postcard so IF it was to use the code it would be designated IN but I stress once again it is just called the "RP-108".

Thinking of getting a selphy...is the ink and paper replaced at the same time i.e. or is it possible to buy the paper only when needed?

Will this work with the CP 1200 and have enough ink for the 108 photos?

I am very suspicious that the cp1300 is not included in compatible devices section of the manufacturers specifications. why not, if it is?

Great quality prints

Yes, I still print my photos, my grandchildren love to look through the dozens of photo albums and it's a pictorial family history. I've always used this particular printing pack and find it excellent quality and good value for money. These are very easy to use with my little Canon Selphy printer and the photos are great and print smoothly. I find this size (6 x 4) just right for albums and framing. Far nicer than scrolling through pictures on a phone!!

Great quality

Quality of prints is always great but I wish it wasn't so expensive. Really easy to use, the set includes the paper and the ink cartridge, a matching amount of each which is handy.It's quite wasteful, I wish there were recycling options.

Great prints, but no windows driver

The prints are great and the printer operation is easy. But it really needs a windows driver to make it a perfect printer. If you only plan to print from a phone it will do the job very well. But if you want to tweak your photos using software on your PC/mac first, it is a faff to get your photos from your PC to the printer via a pen drive or a memory card
