Simply put: an Excellent Book.
A.G. Smith's Knight's and Armor Coloring book is a brief but fun trip back into the pomp and power of the middle ages. Inside you will find laid out over forty pages a wonderful assortment of: English, German, French and other knights in full regalia drawn up in a detailed, accurate and breath-taking fashion that one cannot help themselves but to enjoy. Simply beautiful to look at.The book provides the reader with a detailed image of the knight, and then a small foot note of information at the bottom of the page, it provides a fun source of entertainment to look over and enjoy the illustrations whether you choose to attempt to color within the detailed lines or not. While some have chosen to color their pictures and/or display them, I myself have not, and prefer to keep the book intact and uncolored for future glances that make me smile. What one can do is photocopy the images for coloring so as not to ruin the integrity of the book.In all a fun book that children will enjoy and at such a low price with great artwork adults can appreciate.

The pictures of armor and knights in this book were perfect for a family history project. It even showed a knight from our family tree! Recommend

Recommended Coloring Book if interested in Knights
Highly recommended for anyone interested in knights. The illustrations are tightly rendered with precision and detail, and appear to be historically accurate. In order to retain the details in each drawing,I recommend coloring the images using quality colored pencils instead of crayons. This coloring book was purchased for my 11-year old nephew to accompany a collection of PAPO knights. He liked the coloring book, but appreciated the actual figurines more. However, I loved coloring in his book along with him, and from that, he learned how to overlap and mix colors for added depth.

This is REALLY educational AND Fun
This coloring book is filled with detailed illustrations of knights and armor (including great captions explaining the time period depicted and the function of the armor). As referenced by others, the pictures are detailed and there is even a glossary of terms so you know what you are looking at (almost all of which were new to me). If I had to lodge a complaint it might be that the majority of the pictures are a little static in that they simply show a knight standing there rather than engaged in some action or battle, but then perhaps this is the best way to give the effect of their armor. Also, the kids REALLY love it so nothing missing from their perspective.

Knights and Armor Coloring Book
The details are excellent, and the descriptions of the knights adds to the enchantment. There is little or no background, however. In most cases, the knight has no surrounding scenery so you have to add your own.

Excellent coloring resource.
Great book! Each coloring page has a description of the knight pictured. It explains what years the knight existed, what country, and the articles of clothing they wore. There are also knight and armor vocabulary words at the very beginning of the book.

Ok coloring book with some issues.
This is a coloring/story book. It has great pictures and can be fun to color. However, a lot of the images have hash marks incorporated in them for shading. My preference is to create my own shading and depth using colored pencils. This book does have some very nice scenes and for the price is not a total waste.
