My hair is fine but there is a lot of it. I have mostly waves, but some curl too. This gel had turned out to be a miracle product for my hair, giving great wave/curl definition, long-lasting hold for days, and amazingly it literally banishes all frizz! Nothing I've ever used before has managed to that, not even anti-frizz serums. Once I let my hair air-dry and then scrunch out the crunch, I am left with soft, fluffy beautiful waves. My hair looks so healthy and shiny! For the next couple of days after wash day, I simply wet my hands, rake them through my hair and then scrunch. My waves are bought back to life again. You may want to add a tiny bit of the product on non-wash days to further enhance your waves/curls, but wetting my hair is usually enough. I wash, condition my hair, apply a leave in conditioner and then just use this for amazing waves. No other product is needed for me. I will keep buying this for as long as it is available. . Any flakiness?** A: I haven't noticed any flaking. I don't know what edge control is. **Q: Can this be use as age control?** A: No, but it works well for hair gel! **Q: I have longer fine naturally curly low porosity hair. Is this gel ok for me even tho it contains soybean protein?** A: I have used this gel since I discovered Giovanni products in a health food store in the late 80s. Use it sparingly. I have medium length hair and use 3/4 tsp., at most, on my ends and I spread some gel on my palms to transfer to the rest of my hair. The gel helps strengthen your hair, generates new growth and maintains your B-12 level. A low B-12 level can cause hair loss. **Q: I need a little bit of a sticky hold when blow drying my curls to hold them for the day. Is this like that?** A: Yes it should work fine. Holds my curls although I don’t use a curling iron.
