Overpriced, Half Empty, and Made Things Worse
Very disappointed with this purchase. The bottle arrived half empty, with the shampoo level not even reaching the top of the label. There was no seal on the bottle, yet the outer packaging was completely dry, so it clearly wasn’t a leak — it was sent that way. Paying full price for what feels like half a bottle is unacceptable. Aside from the quantity issue, the product itself was a let-down. After using it for around five weeks, my scalp condition actually got worse, not better. Increased irritation, more flakes, and even skin damage. So much for being “clinically proven.” For such a small, expensive bottle, I expected far better quality and safety. Between the misleading size, lack of seal, and poor results, this felt unsafe and falsely marketed. All the positive claims are very misleading in my experience. Would not recommend if I could give zero stars, I would.

Confused by this product.
I dunno, after reading the reviews... I mean, I thought i'd give this a go. I normally use dovobet (only thing that helps my scalp after years of trying every shampoo you can think of) - I read reviews on this and thought i'd give it a go. I'm a little confused because, the label says "wet hair, apply a small about and work into a lather" - So that's what I tried to do, several times, but the shampoo doesn't work into a lather. I don't use any products in my hair or anything but this shampoo does not work up a lather AT ALL. I tried adding more and more but nothing. Maybe it'll still work, who knows. I doubt it If it doesn't even do what it says instruction wise on the front of the bottle... and the bottle is TINY. like. TINY.

Contains sodium lauryl sulphate and has made my scalp even worse
Contains sodium lauryl sulphate = wrecked my scalp and it now looks EVEN WORSE and is sore. I followed the directions and left it on for 5 minutes and the first time it was fine and cleared the dandruff. Now after a few weeks of using it once a week and leaving it on before thoroughly rinsing, I have itchy, very flaky dandruff and then I checked the ingredients. Now I know why. Will not touch again. Seems kind of crazy that its put into something that you leave on the skin, that is for problematic skin conditions and yet is harmful for many. We don't recommend it to be used at all in hospital when skin has been damaged and I wish I had known it was in this. SLS is safe for a lot of people when in brief contact - like washing hads etc. but I guess not when left on my sensitive scalp for any length of time. BE AWARE

Contains Animal Products — NOT CRUELTY FREE OR VEGAN / VEGETARIAN — Made from Animal Collagen
When scrutinising the ingredients I was very surprised to note the addition of ‘Laurdimonium hydrolysed animal collagen.’ In the modern world where pharmaceutical and beauty companies have removed animal derivatives from a huge number of their products, it is rather unexpected to find Nizoral still relying on this kind of addition. Nor was the presence of animal collagen in the product made clear anywhere on the packaging. It is a salutary reminder to those of us who are appalled by such unethical acts to closely check the contents of anything purchased for use on one’s body. Thornton & Ross, the distributors of the product, hide behind this title to avoid taking responsibility for the formula and bury the statement that Nizoral is not cruelty-free in the depths of their frequently asked questions. It is frankly a disgrace that any company in Britain is actively selling a shampoo made from animal collagen and have no intention to alter the ingredients to reflect the concerns of the modern consumer. Of course if people are happy to bathe and wash in a liquid foam generated from the broken down tendons, muscles and cartilage of butchered animals, then by all means do carry on. I, however, will not be purchasing this shampoo again unless the formula is changed.

Brilliant dandruff shampoo, worked wonders for my husband, but not effective for my 11‑year‑old son!
My husband has been using this dandruff treatment shampoo for three weeks now, and I’m so pleased to say his long‑term dandruff has completely vanished from his scalp — what a relief! He also suffered from quite bad hair fall, and I’m confident this will help reduce that too with continued use. The shampoo itself is really easy to use, with a soft, gentle texture that spreads nicely over the scalp. It didn’t cause any irritation, dryness, or allergic reaction at all, which is great. It has honestly transformed my husband’s scalp condition after years of struggling. That said, my 11‑year‑old son has been using the exact same shampoo for his dandruff too, but sadly it hasn’t helped clear his problem in the slightest, it’s still just as bad. I’m quite worried about this, so I’m planning to take him to see our doctor for further advice. Overall: It is highly recommended for adults, it’s effective, kind, and really does the job but from our experience, it may not work the same way for children, so please keep that in mind. A fantastic product, just with mixed results depending on age.

Works, but not a miracle cure
I’ve been using Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo for a few weeks, and it does help reduce itchiness and flakiness, but it’s not as dramatic as I hoped. My scalp feels calmer after each wash, and the dandruff is less noticeable, but it doesn’t completely prevent it if I skip a day or two. The texture and scent are fine — not overpowering, and it lathers well enough to feel like it’s really cleaning. One minor downside is that it can leave hair feeling slightly dry if you use it too often, so I’ve had to pair it with a gentle conditioner. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you want to manage mild dandruff, but don’t expect it to be a complete fix for more persistent scalp issues.

Noticed results after first wash
I had 'suffered', for lack of a better term, with dandruff for quite some time but was reasonably happy half heartedly 'treating' it with supermarket brands until roughly 3 months ago. For whatever reason I was noticing it a lot more. Previously I had assumed someone had rather inconsiderately spilt some flour in our bedroom, strangely landing solely on my pillow and the back of my jumpers? Obviously, it wasn't long until there was the realisation that I wasn't treating it at all, it wasn't working and I was just buying into the advertising. Searching online, Nizoral came up repeatedly and, although seemingly a small amount, this 60ml bottle was cheap enough to warrant a 'what's the worst that could happen?' type purchase. Following the course as clearly defined on the bottle and, still not quite sure how, I noticed a dramatic decrease pretty much instantly - superlatives wouldn't really do it justice - it hit me that I didn't really realise how much of an issue it was until it was gone. As much as I may be a little tongue in cheek when describing it, I have noticed a shift in thinking; my hair is dandruff free and that actually makes me feel pretty very good! If sceptical of this product, all I can really suggest is that you give the 60ml bottle a try. It's enough that you should notice results (1x60ml is all I've ever used) without being a life changing investment. Judging by other reviews it doesn't work for everyone, but who's to say it won't work for you?! Just re-read this review... it sounds like an informercial, sorry! To sum up: I had a dandruff problem, this product fixed it.

Quite Good But Far Too Expensive For a Small Bottle
I suffer from psoriasis which affects my scalp and have tried many different treatments and shampoos to help so thought I’d give this one a go It’s actually quite a nice shampoo and does seem to be helping However it’s such a small bottle so I think it’s very expensive and if I used it every couple of days it wouldn’t last very long at all So while I think it might be helping my condition I won’t be buying it again as it’s just too expensive for the amount you get So it’s good but far too expensive for such a small bottle of shampoo

Very powerful and effective, one of the best choices in the market but expensive compared to other products have the same effect.

My dandruff is gone!
It really helped me get rid of dandruff. I made sure to follow all the instructions and this product helped me. I tried many shampoos for this purpose but nothing worked except this. The bottle is too small but you are supposed to use a small amount, not as much as you use for regular shampoo.
