I've been using the BRITA Marella water filter jug for about a month now and I'm really impressed with it. It's a great option for anyone who wants to improve the taste of their tap water, but doesn't want to spend a fortune on bottled water. The jug itself is well-designed and fits easily in a standard UK fridge. It has a capacity of 2.4 litres, which is enough for me to get through a day without having to refill it. The filter is easy to change and the jug is dishwasher-safe, so it's very low-maintenance. The water that comes out of the jug tastes noticeably cleaner and crisper than tap water. It's not quite as good as spring water, but it's a lot closer than I expected. I've found that it makes a big difference to the taste of tea and coffee, and it's also great for drinking on its own. In terms of cost, the BRITA Marella is much cheaper than bottled water. A pack of 3 filter cartridges costs around £10, which will last you about 3 months - this is a fraction of how much I used to spend on bottled water and is more environmentally friendly, as it reduces plastic waste. This has literally changed my life. As someone who hates tap water and my home providing beautiful fresh, soft water but stinking of chlorine I spent a lot of money on bottles of water. My daughter had purchased one of these for herself and her children and I tried it when visiting I was so impressed I immediately ordered my own one. I got one with 3 filters as I didnt want it to end up being another purchase used for the first wee while then put in a cupboard. Let me tell you this eont be the case, I fill it up, allow the filter time to empty then fill again and our in the fridge, next morning I have a big jug full of perfectly cold, crisp, beautiful tasting water. Do follow the instructions as i didnt do the first two cycles that was recommended and to throw it away, it tasted metallic but after a couple of days (full cycles) its wonderful, no bubbles attaching to the side of your glass as is often the case with tap water. I bought a nice big water bottle and fill it up daily to take out with me and even my kids are choosing water over juice now One filter lasts approx a month which is great value and the handy display on top let's you know when its time to renew filter so you dont forget. Jug looks really nice, I bought the blue one and would look fine on the table as well. Highly recommend this product

Bought a while back, fully using for the first time. Works fairly well. Sturdy unit. Fits in the fridge door without drama; chilled water anytime. I do wish it had a non-slip base. Handy reminder to change the filter. The lid fits snugly which is reassuring because at one point, I thought I was pouring out unfiltered water. Yikes! UPDATE: It went from being a slow filtering process, didn't filter all the water at once, to normal rate. Much better now so giving five stars. Previously, I used the Aqua Optima which did a great job for many years. The Brita replacement cartridges seem rather expensive, in comparison to what I paid for the Aqua Optima ones. Ouch! It will take some getting used to but, I can work with that...for now.

Bought this to replace a previous Brita Marella jug, which I'd been pleased with. I would say the 'Graphite' colour of the lid is more Black than Grey, but this is not an issue for me. The flip on the lid allows for easy filling and the jug fits very well in the fridge door. The indicator on the lid will also alert you when the cartridge needs changing. The main difference between this jug and my old one, which was exactly the same model, is that Brita have now introduced what they call their 'Perfect Fit' system for the cartridges. They have now put a small valve at the bottom of the funnel that was not there on the old jugs, there was just a hole. This is supposedly to ensure the cartridge fits in correctly, but in my case meant that the Wilko cartridges, that were supposed to fit all Maxtra type jugs and worked fine on my old one, either filtered no water through at all or it was just one very slow drip at a time and took forever to fill. Changed it over for a Brita cartridge and the water filtered through fine, and much quicker, like it is supposed to. The instructions do state that if no water is flowing through, or is flowing through slowly, then it may be that the cartridge hasn’t connected to the valve correctly, and they recommend pushing down on it gently. So no problems with the jug itself, but beware if buying any of the cheaper cartridges as they may not fit the latest models with the valve correctly.

Bought this to replace a very old brita jug I bought over 20 years ago. I'd moved to an area where the tap water was not palatable without filtering and wanted to stop buying bottled water. This particular offer was a very good deal, including 3 filters for the jug instead of just the 1 that other offers had, but for more money. To me that was a no brainer. I already have a kettle that incorporates brita filtering tech but love the idea of having fresh chilled water from the fridge too. I missed my fridge with inbuilt water reservoir and tap, but actually prefer the brita jug. It fills up easily via the flip up part of the lid, meaning there's no faffing with removing the entire top each time. The filtration inner part holds a lot of water and you can put in fridge before it's finished to do its work and will have filtered chilled water by time you go back to it. Because the water is filtered, you dont get any hard water build up in the inside of the jug itself and all I do is clean the internal filtration part when I replace the filter. It doesnt become dirty anyway. Highly recommend. Fits in the inside of my fridge door perfectly.

Omg how have I lived so long without a brita jug in my life. I hate the taste of tap water, so I was spending a small fortune on volvic each week, until I had enough of all the wasted plastic bottles, so I bought this jug. It's a fine basic design, with a battery operated level on top that gives a percentage to when to change the filter.. Since its arrival its practically all I drink.. You truly can tell the difference. This morning I grabbed a glass of tap water to take a pill and omg the chlorine tasted horrid but not with the brita filter, jug came with 3 filters and going by the instructions it's about a month of proper usage per filter but I'm going to see how far I can stretch it .. Price of replacement filters are cheap enough so do you and your family a good turn and buy a filter jug , I'm wanting the kettle but will wait till this old one dies on me.. I was really sceptical but so so glad I did buy it as it's got me drinking loads more water a day and the money aspect aswell makes it a win win..

Since moving I had noticed that the tap water had a funny taste which I didn’t really enjoy drinking, instead I started to buy bottled water but this was getting incredibly expensive. The Brita filter jug is a game changer, it provides you with fresh tasting water and also helps you to save money and reduce the amount of plastic bottles that you use. The percentage indicator on top is a handy feature as it helps to clearly identify when the filter needs changing. The instructions for cleaning the filter and jug before use were a little complicated and the leaflet was huge. However, as I’ve done it once I now know how to do it going forward. I have recommended this product to my family and friends who have also decided to purchase one.

After reading a new report on how bad the quality of rain water and tap water has become, I decided to try a filter (I live in a high limescale area too, so wanted to reduce that). The dark design is sleek and looks great in my modern kitchen. Filters just click in, no hassle. The water tasted a bit weird at first as I'm used to hard water, but I leave the jug in the fridge and first thing in the morning, having cold, smooth filtered water is brilliant. Cups of tea TASTE WAY BETTER. Added bonus, my dog is normally so so about drinking water. As she sees me pour it from a jug, she presumes it's a treat and drinks more water now. Great value, modern look and makes my tea taste great. Highly recommended.

Va de lujo, el filtro encaja perfectamente en su sitio, llenas 2 veces la jarra y vacías el agua, y la tercera vez que llenas la jarra está lista para consumir el agua, Vivo en Xirivella y aquí el agua sabe muchísimo a cloro y tiene mucho olor, una vez que ah filtrado el agua es como si fuese agua embotellada, es alucinante como quita el mal sabor del agua del grifo y el olor, y el sensor de la jarra que se ve en la parte de arriba al instalar el filtro mantienes pulsado unos 5 o 10 segundos y ya está listo para funcionar con el filtro sale al 100% y cuando esté gastado el filtro avisa parpadeando esa función todavía no lo sé a ciencia cierta por qué no me eh bebido100 litros cuando vea que funciona perfectamente subiré comentarios adicionales, pero por el precio y la calidad de filtración del agua y encima con 3 filtros de recambio vamos es una ganga y recomiendo la jarra brita y el vendedor a tope de gama sin dudar buenísima compra ahhh y siendo la jarra de 2,4litros encaja perfectamente en la puerta de la nevera sencillamente una pasada y un gran ahorro en comprar agua embotellada y en ahorro de plástico no dudéis y compraros la jarra brita no os arrepentiréis 🤙😎

Vor- und Nachteile: Der BRITA Wasserfilter Marella ist einfach zu bedienen und die 3 MAXTRA+ Filterkartuschen, die im Lieferumfang enthalten sind, reichen für eine Weile aus. Das Wasser schmeckt frischer und sauberer und man kann direkt die Unterschiede zu ungefiltertem Wasser schmecken. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist vielleicht, dass der Filterkannen-Deckel manchmal etwas schwer zu öffnen ist, aber das ist wirklich nur eine Kleinigkeit. Fazit: Ich bin begeistert von meinem BRITA Wasserfilter Marella! Endlich kann ich klares und sauberes Wasser trinken und muss keine Angst mehr vor Regierungskomplotten haben. Ich kann diesen Wasserfilter jedem empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach einer einfachen und effektiven Möglichkeit ist, sein Wasser zu filtern.
