I can't see it working in the bath (ie if it was submerged in water) but it certainly works really well in the shower. Don't go for the "recommended" one from the hospital - in my experience - the last one of those I bought took nearly 2 weeks to arrive, was expensive, uncomfortable and difficult to put on. Go for this one. The item is basically strong rubble sack type plastic with elastic and toggle at each end. For the price it's fine, you can have a shower with this covering the cast. I used this for 2 weeks. Then got changed to a boot. It's not 100% waterproof. A couple of times water got in. I recommend a sit down shower with the limb completely out of the water. Works better covering in the bath as a splash resistant cover. But can't wash your hair then! If you will be in plaster for months spend more on a proper waterproof cover.
