Makita DTW1002Z 18V Li-Ion LXT Brushless Impact Wrench - Batteries and Charger Not Included

I purchased the DTW190Z before this but it wouldn’t take the wheel nuts off my car but for £58 I had to try it. It’s a very worthwhile one for lighter use if you don’t wish to spend to much money. When I received this one I put it on the lowest setting and it took my wheel nuts off with ease. Ide never put them on on the highest setting as I’m sure this animal would rip them apart. This mammoth monster weighs over 3.6 kilograms with a battery on so is extremely heavy but it’s quality at it’s very best. I like the way you can turn the lights off on this as I’ve always found that to be just a waste of battery power. This monster is bigger and heavier than the snap on I used to have and I strongly suspect more powerful. Makita have really gone to town on this. Tbh I probably didn’t need one this powerful or expensive but on reading the reviews on it thought ide just buy it. So if your looking for a monster that’s not going to tell you it carnt get that nut off this is the kiddie for you.

Having bought a number of so called high torque guns and having them under perform the stated figures I opted to spend more and also utilise my existing battery drill batteries. This impact is exceptional well built, and extremely powerful. It will destroy normal sockets be warned. I paid for a Makita impact set and glad I did. It is a heavy brute and you know you are hefting it if holding it under a car out stretched. It has not failed yet to shift a bolt or nut. I used it to spin off a 36mm nut off if a L200 drive shaft that had been on for 178000 miles, whilsted off much to out surprise! Wheel nuts are so easy, I suspect if you wanted too it would easily strip the treads if you kept on.... It is expensive but buy cheap! and buy twice! (or three times in my case). Should of bought this first time.

Fantastic tool

Immense power. Hasn’t failed on a single rusted bolt on a car break up yet. Great built quality, Makita a reliability, used all the batteries I use on other Makita products. If you want something small and nimble forget it. This is intended as a heavy weight and does what it says on the tin! Dislikes. Circlip on end of 1/2 shaft makes attaching a socket a bit of a drama. Certainly more than it should be. Battery area is shock absorbed on this model. Mine seems overly loose- but time will tell! Am I happy? Oh yeah. Hammer action on strip downs saves so much time. No need to anchor wheel bolts or nylocks with this baby. Hammer action just does the job for you. Wonder why I never bought one years ago!

I have a Discovery 2 Land Rover, renowned for stubborn nuts &bolts, this impact wrench has not been a let down, hight torque and high quality manufacturing. It is heavy but it does the job very nicely and effortlessly, Lovely bit of kit

Super powerful undone a nut no other system did with ease

Yes its was as expected, as a heavy duty impact wrench which deals easily with wheel nuts etc, my rating reflected the high cost of the item which would otherwise have been 5 star. I'm sure Makita have produced some duff tools in the past but not found one yet and I've got quite a collection for a DIYer.

Cela fait un moment que je souhaitais m’offrir cette boulonneuse et c’est chose faite. Je connaissais déjà très bien ce modèle pour avoir la même à mon travail et je savais déjà qu’elle était très puissante et surtout très fiable. Elle permet sans problème de desserrer les écrous ou vis les plus récalcitrants dont les goujons de roues trop grippés ou trop serrés. Personnellement je possède une boulonneuse pneumatique avec carré 1/2 un peu plus puissante mais j’avais toujours l’inconvénient d’allumer mon compresseur puis de tirer le tuyau d’air et la gêne que ce dernier occasionne. Avec cette boulonneuse je n’en ai désormais plus besoin et je peux l’utiliser partout sans gêne si se n’est son poids et son encombrement. La boulonneuse est équipée d’un moteur Brushless soit sans charbons et ne nécessitant donc aucun entretien particulier. J’ai aussi une version bien plus petite et légère mais à charbons car elle a déjà 10 ans, je trouve que les 2 boulonneuses sont complémentaires et il est bien d'avoir les deux tailles. C’est vraiment un très bel outils et je trouve que son prix reste bien placé par rapport à la concurrence de gamme pro. Je recommande grandement cette boulonneuse.
