My daughter wears a size 9 in regular shoes, what size would that be in these tap shoes?  The sizing chart is confusing

Hi Julie,  I purchased a 9 1/2 for my niece that is also a 9 in regular shoes.  I do wish I would have gotten a 10, though.  The 9 1/2 does fit, perfectly.  But a 10, would have left just a bit of room to grow - in my opinion.  So, if you would like a perfect fit go with a 9 1/2.

Can the the 5.5 toddler fit a one year old. If she is a size 5?

Absolutely!  These fit snug.  I had to return the first pair that I bought and go up a 1/2 size.

Question 3

What do the n, m, w stand for in the sizes? my 3.5 yr old wears a size 7 toddler in regular shoes and has a high foot. which size would be best?

These ran incredibly small and narrow.  The letters refer to the widths. My daughter just turned 4, is in an 8 in regular shoes with a slender foot.  She's just grown out of the 9W in these.  We ordered the 10W this week.  N=narrowM=mediumW=wide

My daughter is 8 and wears a size 3...should I order size 4 big kid?

I think these run pretty true to size. My daughter is 6 and wears Little Kid 1 in sneakers, but still fits in larger sized Toddler 13/13.5 shoes. Because she is transitioning from the 13 to 1, I bought the little kid 1 size and they fit her beautifully. I think if your daughter is transitioning or close to transitioning from a 3 to a 4, I would order the 4. If she is newly transitioned into the 3, I would order that size. Hope that helps.
