They are worth it. Lasts a long time. **Q: Is it metal** A: Its plastic but the back part is like metal, I gave this as a present and thats what I remember. But its a great pen, u wont regret purchasing.. **Q: The Black and Gold says "plastic barrel" is this one plastic barrel, ss well?** A: Plastic barrel, metal tip and metal top.
