Thanks.** A: The packaging states: hot peel gives a matt finish and cold peel gives a gloss finish. Matt finish is recommend for items that will be heavily washed. **Q: Does anyone know what colour the background is? Is it clear or white? I need a clear background on my images as its going onto painted wood. Thankyou** A: The paper was white. Your image is printed onto the white paper. I then cut it out and ironed it on to a t shirt. That way only the image was transferred. If you didn't cut it out then I think the white round your image would transfer too **Q: If you were to draw with markers (rather than print) onto this paper would it transfer onto T-shirts?** A: I would think so, especially if they are the fabric paint markers. My suggestion is to make a swatch. Use one of the sheets to do this. Divide it into squares on the transfer side, colour in each square with the different media you want to use or try out. When it's dry transfer the media onto a clean piece of fabric (preferably cotton or other natural materials) by following the instructions for your paper type. This way you will find out what will and won't work and you'll have a fabric reference swatch for what each piece of media looks like when applied. For the greatest saturation of colours it is always best to apply the colours directly to your fabric of choice. Note: not all media are colourfast or washable - you can test this on your swatch too. Hope that helps. **Q: I tried to write something and when I ironed it came backwards ,when I print pictures and iron them is fine just when I do words isn't right** A: of course, as it is transferred image faced down, it print it in a mirror image (reverse), the instructions are clearly indicating that the image has to be reversed when printed, either on the image programme like Photoshop etc or it may be easier on the printer driver/software to set it up to mirror image or flip horizontal mode ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good priced, quality product, works well *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 January 2016* A few important things to remember.....This transfer paper is only suitable for white or light fabrics, so you can't print onto black or other dark colours, it simply will not work.If you are printing with letters/text then it needs to be revered, because otherwise when you iron it on, it will be back to front.Don't iron with steam turned on when using a steam ironDon't use an ironing board, they are padded. Use a table top or kitchen worktop.Always set your printer to print in high resolutionTrim as much of the excess paper off before you apply it to the material.When washing use a low 30c settingI've used this paper for both t-shirts and canvas bags and it works very well, its easy to use, simple to apply and can be washed easily.The paper comes with a very easy to use guide, that gives you step by step instructions on how to print, apply the image to the material, so if you follow the instructions you will have no issue with using this paper. Maybe it's because its been a few years since my last batch or maybe I was unlucky with the item sent out, but the last lot, whilst it printed okay, did not last very long over a number of washes - I mean I still have t shirts I’ve printed back in 2007 using this brand bought from here - yes they are *extremely* faded now as I wear them often, but have clearly been extensively in the wash over the years and really withstood time fantastically. Not quite sure what to make of it - I will probably still use these, since it still comes out looking great, depending of course the material and colours you are transferring on to. Last bought at 10.50 for a pack of 20 sheets.Over the years I have found the old type non steam irons (which heat up more than the newer ones) along with a towel and a very hard surface like kitchen worktop tend to work better.
