Does it help to save energy.** A: It controls the boiler on or off according to the room temperature so i would think it would not be suitable for three rooms . If you want to control these separately I think you would probably need to fit thermostatic valves on individual radiators **Q: how to wire it** A: I was lucky that it was a straight swap so wiring was the same. It depends on whether you only have a room stat or also have a timer connected to gas heating In which case you will have extra wires. I had the extra blue and yellow wires to link with timer stat.
