It also appears to be a bit of a secret as well, it is there but its not exactly easy to find in the high street. On to the good bits: Smell: fairly pleasant, certainly not unpleasant like many other products out there! There are better smelling products, namely the Fudge Creme but this is still pretty enjoyable. Effect: there is honestly no competition out there. This stuff makes VO5 Matte Clay look and feel like olive oil. Fudge Matte clay provides a strong hold, it's not greasy, the matte effect is evident but doesn't look over the top either. It also makes hair look very textured which really compliments your cut providing you have a talented hair dresser. People often ask me what I use and anyone who I let use this product is converted to Fudge. Value: It is expensive. And it will last a decent time, depending on hair length and the amount of times styled. I usually get over a month with use every single day, sometimes twice! Staying power: Fantastic. Doesn't fall flat or change shape too much, it holds well no matter what! It's perfect for clubbing in my opinion. And in a pinch, the next day your hair will still look reputable. But now for the bad bits: The tube delivery can be a bit annoying, if you dispense too much you can't put it back in like you could with a tub. Also when you get towards the end, the delivery can be fairly weak but this can be remedied by using a pen or something to force the inside tube up (much like you would with a toothpaste tube). I often smash my tube open when I can no longer empty product out, as there is often enough left for one or two hair styles! But these really aren't even minor problems in my opinion. Yes it is quite expensive but in my opinion it is far far far superior to any other Matte Clay or Wax there is. I have been buying this stuff for a long time now and shall continue too! Having used many different products in the past and having hair which is around six inches long, I have always had to use more product then advised on the back for my hair to stay in place so thats the mistake I made. This will dry out ur hair as well as make ur hair very greasy if you apply to much but if you use a pea sized amount it works fantastic. Not only does it smell great but is also easy to wash out. No need to reapply more later if like me you enjoy a nap and wake up looking like youve put your head in the washing machine,.simply comb through and it will look fine. I have used this daily for over 4 weeks and am still on the same bottle so it is definitely worth the money. It's quite a strong hold clay with a matte finish. **Q: Will it comb into thick wiry hair and make it look straight?** A: No as it's too thick. I will be buying again once this runs out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible product! *by N***T on 19 September 2012* This Matte Paste is incredible, im using it as a replacement for the V05 matte paste and i must say this one lasts far longer and holds far better.. i have relatively medium-long hair for a male and my style is described as a messier, brunette version of Ed Sheerans hair which you can imagine requires quite a good paste- and this door more than required :) it's not been tested in rain and strong wind yet- although i have a spray that locks my hair down and stops the rain and winding affecting it (Vo5 extra hold weather resistant hairspray- also an amazing product when combined)... this Fudge product does not leave hair greasy, mine is still a fluffy mess and it doesnt get greasy as quickly as the v05 product does- that was a nightmare.
