Zinsser's Peel Stop & reg; is a clear, flexible bridging sealer for surfaces where peeling, flaking, dusting or chalking is a problem. Use indoors or out to form a breathable membrane over questionable or faulty substrates. Peel Stop & reg; tightly bonds to old paint and problem areas forming a sound surface for new paint. Review: Products great, delivery company used useless!! - The product it self is absolutely marvellous and does exactly what it says on the tin!! , but the delivery method/company is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.... delivered it to the wrong bloody address, thank God the residents were honest and brought it straight to me or I'd of probably never got it, like many other items that vanish when companies chose to use EVRI....

**Q: Does this form a smooth surface for paint over?**
A: Very smooth

**Q: Hi. Is this stabiliser solution suitable to use on wooden window frames prior to repainting? (My window ledges and frames have flaky old paint.)**
A: Whilst it might stop a chemical reaction between old and new paint, it won't hide the flaking old paint and won't stop it all falling off .   I suggest you do a proper job and strip and sand it all back, tough I know ,but if you want to save the frames then that's the best option., That's assuming they can be saved in the 1st place.

**Q: Can i use this for a under layer on a concrete garden wall.**
A: Yes the Peel Sstop can be used for this application. We assume you have old paint layers on the wall that you want to consolidate. Provided the old paint layers are sound and clean the Peel Stop can be used to prime the surface before repainting with a suitable top coat.

**Q: Do you put this on first and then paint over it?**
A: Yes the point here is it to stop any reaction with existing paint and the new paint .  So paint say 2 coats to be sure , let dry then following day paint as required.
