Liberating
We don't have a big garden but even so, having to mess about with dragging cables through the house, and making sure they stay out of the way when cutting the grass was getting to be a bit of a pain.Having looked into this product we decided to give it a go, seeing that the reviews were quite positive. At the same time we also decided to buy the grass trimmer and hedge trimmer, as well as battery and fast charger all at once. The lawnmower feels light but well built. It was very easy to assemble, and takes up very little room in our tiny shed but the great thing is how well it works. We have used it on bone dry and damp grass and each time we get a great cut - easily as good as our previous Bosch rotary mower. There are 5 heights which are easily selected by a lever near the front, which is pretty much standard. So it cuts well, but the real advantage is just how liberating it is to not have to worry about getting tangled in cables, and when you're done, you just pop the battery out, drop the handlebar down and fold it away :)I would suggest buying a larger battery for it - we bought the 18v 5.0aH battery, as we have really bought into the One+ family by buying the pole hedge trimmer and grass trimmer, so the higher capacity battery means we can switch between each tool and still ensure we have plenty of juice.I can't really think of a downside tbh, apart from the fact that I would imagine it wouldn't really be suitable for larger gardens due to the fact that it relies on batteries, although if you have multiple batteries you can switch them out and continue while one is charging.just remember to take the mulch plug out if you don't want the freshly cut grass to end up back on your lawn!

Superb lightweight mower
Great mower for my two lawns, I had my doubts weather it had the grunt for the job however it certainly has. For normal purposes it is very light, easily manoeuvrable, less fiddly than a corded mower (so much less annoying), battery change is easy, I find one battery can do both lawns in normal circumstances. Where the grass has been allowed to get a bit longer it obviously takes more power. I bought two non-ryobi batteries that have done the job well, which I also use on a Ryobi chainsaw. It adjusts height easily with enough settings to please my needs, the battery compartment is easy to access and change battery. It came with what I assume is a mulcher that blocks the grass exit to the grass box (no instructins as to the real purpose), it seems to cut it finer and leave it on the lawn without trace. Overall I am very pleased and will buy, as and when needed, other Ryobi products.

Nice little unit, lightweight and easy to use.
Bought a Robi drill in the summer with interchangeable batteries so complimented it now with this little Mower. Nice and light which is useful for going s small strip of angled grass on the lane. It was advertised as being able to cut right to the edge - it doesn’t which it the only criticism of the little unit. Feels a little ‘toytown’ as most parts are plastic, but this keeps the weight down, and battery efficiency up. Easy to assemble but make sure you remove the bung to let the grass go into the basket. Would recommend for small lawns but ‘cutting to the edge’ would have made this unit 5 stars.

Are Ryobi having a laugh?
i bought this several months ago but continued using old mower until it finally died. First run on Ryobi today and I have to say that this is a genuinely terrible product. My lawn is about 2 cm long so put this on highest height setting. Mower barely starts up before it cuts out. The motor does run as i started it up on hard surface just to check it wasnt faulty. Was this only designed for bowling greens?Unless you're intention is to design a show garden, give this very poorly designed product a miss. You've been warned.I grudge even giving it 1 star.

Brilliant mower, light, but very capable and lasts a long while on a 5AHr battery
Brilliant product, cuts and mulches the grass with ease. I already have a 5AHr battery and a cut of my medium size lawns only knocks a bit of charge out of the battery, so I reckon I would get about 4 cuts out of one charge. It is light and quick to pack away, but make no mistake this is a beefy mower, easily up to the job and copes as well as my petrol mower, although it might not be as good for the first cut when the grass is long. Still, just set a high height and then go over twice.

Lightweight, limited power
This is a very lightweight lawnmower, and suitable only for small and regular gardens.I think a garden size of less than 50sqm is pushing the limits. The lawnmower will struggle at the lower settings if the grass is wet, even if it isn't very long.Basically, it does not have much power, so you have to cut frequently when the grass is dry, and before the grass gets too long.I wish it had the option to put in a second battery. There is a much more expensive model that has this, but I wish this compact sized machine had it too.All said, it is light, easy to use, and for the right sized garden, would do a nice job.

Quality product.
Light, fast and safe product. Ideal for a small 32 sq.m garden for a heavy cut, could do 100 sq.m on a single charge of normal cut easily. Cuts right to the edge along walls/kerbs and the bag is small-ish but when full the mower is still easily manoeuvred. It folds down easily and is light enough to lift/store almost anywhere. There are some negative reviews based on assembly, if you struggle to follow the simple instructions or assemble the 2 bolts and clip the cable in place then you should not be allowed mow the lawn.

Better cut than my usual Bosch mains powered mower now ...
No more leads, no more moving cable out of the way. Better cut than my usual Bosch mains powered mower now consigned to the charity shop. I used a 5.0AQH battery and cut all my garden lawn on the lowest height and only expended 1 bar on the battery. On the downside, it has enough power and duration that I will now have to cut my neighbours adjoining front lawn to get a consistent appearance at the front of our houses so a fe3w extra minutes. I highly recommend this as a brilliant addition to my Ryobi one+ range as I now have 10 of these brilliant tools and have lost my dependency on the wall socket. True freedom at last.
