Brilliant - I use to make chutney
This adds great flavour without the faff of making your own! It's really easy to use as it has the consistency and look of a thin black treacle. I use to flavour apple chutney - which always sells really well on fundraising stalls. Good value too for the quantity, much better than the tiny jars you get in the supermarket

Perfect for cocktails
Concentrated tamarind, molasses type consistency ideal for Indian margaritas. No idea how effective for cooking, but would happily give it a go. Much easier than making the paste by hand.

Fresh and tangy.. but a tad sweet than usual
The product is fresh and tangy, just the way you'd expect tamarind to taste. However, being Asian and from Southeast Asia, where we use tamarind in daily cooking, I'm just a bit surprised that the paste is a tad sweet and have a lighter taste than usual. It's not unpleasant, but it means you have to adjust your recipe a little bit. I recommend those who are used to tamarind's richer and sour-ish taste to taste it first before adding it to your dishes.
