I bought this kettle on the 25 Jan 2016 and it has already gone rusty in various places?

It does seem to be a problem with this model. My replacement kettle also went rusty fairly quickly. It is not in a damp or unventilated room so the problem lies with the kettle. It is a shame as otherwise it looks good. I won't bother buying another one the same.

Does the design of the filter allow it to be emptied 100% through the spout? Some kettles have a filter that's raised from the surface of the kettle.

The filter is raised as you have described, however I was able to empty the kettle just through the spout. The filter looks like it can be removed but I have not tried.

Is the spout filter completely concealed when it is fitted to the kettle? It appears so from the photograph in the product description.

You instal the filter from inside the kettle, slipping the bottom filter catch into position and then pushing the top of the filter so it clicks into place. The filter 'bulges' into the kettle when assembled.

Don't quite know how but we've lost the spout filter.....looked all over the net but can't find spares anywhere?

I`m not surprised. The wretched thing is small & easily lost. I don`t bother to remove it & let a descaler run through it when cleaning.
