Proraso Pre Shave Cream, 100ml, Refreshing and Toning Pre Shaving Cream with Eucalyptus Oil and Menthol, Made in Italy, Green

Having recently returned to double edge razor shaving I was looking for shaving products to compliment the joy of DE shaving. I’ve tried numerous products over the years including from London based barbers but I have to say since I’ve been using the Proraso range I’m hooked. I’m currently using Proraso pre shave cream, followed by shaving soap and completed by aftershave balm. All the products effuse quality and style (as perhaps Italians do so well). A smooth shave with no nicks or cuts (as DE razors have a tendency to do), the razor glides smoothly over the skin and the balm provides instant cooling and hydration. The pre shave cream has a strong(ish) menthol smell which does make the eyes water a little but combined with the shaving soap brushed on with a quality badger hair brush the skin is left very well prepared for a close shave.The joys of DE razor shaving combined with the Proraso range makes the whole experience enjoyable and for anyone looking for quality shaving products that don’t break the bank and leave you feeling clean and fresh post shave then don’t look any further than the Proraso range- definitely recommended.This is an honest review and I have purchased all the products myself.

I'm not sure how much difference it makes to the actual shave, but the extra moisturisation is useful and it delivers a pleasing blast of menthol when you apply it! For what it costs, why not? I'll just mention though that it arrived with a broken lid despite being well wrapped. All the Proraso stuff I've bought off Amazon lately has arrived looking like it's been kicked from one end of the depot to the other, but this was actually broken.

A small, heavy, glass jar filled to the top with a pre-shave creme. I'm used to using Nuage Men shaving oil but that just gets the hand that I hold my razor with all slippy. So reverted to this and now I'm a convert. The menthol smell is the first thing that gets me, my eyes too but I like it. Give the cheeks and chin, neck and sides a good massage with it, there's no lather but I just put a shaving soap on top and it works a treat. I feel like I get a really good, close shave and I quite enjoy shaving once more, whereas before it was just a chore, now though, despite the dancing girls failing to come out high kicking when the razor touches my skin, I get a little bit of pleasure knowing that my Mrs is going to be happy with my appearance rather than the dishevelled person she's used to seeing.

I like this one best as it's quite refreshing. The others are dull in comparison and I won't use them.Note: DO NOT buy from 'All Access Store'. You will receive the wrong item - charge you for the green and send you the cheaper white. Meanwhile Amazon will expect you to fix their mess by taking time out of your day to return it, if you want a refund. Looking at their feedback, I wasn't the only person that was duped.

Superb!!! Put this on your skin as a base layer then apply the shaving cream. Excellent. Menthol and fresh. Top shaving product.

I like everything about this cream - from its lovely texture and scent to the stylish, old-fashioned, thick glass container. I use it prior to using my shaving soap and it certainly helps me achieve a close shave. Highly recommended.

I used to get nicks when or razor burn when using a safety razor. I now apply this 5-10 minutes before I shave and then either rinse it off or apply the shave cream directly over it. It really does soften stubble and makes it so much easier to move the safety razor without getting caught on stubble and pulling.It smells great as well, which is a bonus. Right now I can't see me needing to switch to anything else.By the way, if you're not using a safety razor then get one and pair it with this. You won't go back to cartridge razors.
