Not made in Germany
Didn't use or even open the packaging once I saw China on the box it was packaged in. That's not how it's presented in the listing. I didn't see the value so I returned it the same day. I can get knives made in China for less than half the price of these.

The Avanta series is not made in Germany.
I am not sure if this seller is intentionally advertising German made knives or not, but the Avanta line is made with Messer’s steel but in China. With kitchen knives, you always get what you pay for.
