used to using a plastic strainer which became distorted with use and the handle over the steamy water so decide to try this steel one. So far works as advertised and gets clean in the dishwasher with no problems. It did feel awkward at first holding the pan in the right hand and findin the best position for the strainer due to the length of the handle but soon adapted and found the best position to hold it on the pan.

great quality and works well, much better than a colander, especially when you need to drain in the middle of the cooking process. I am right handed and hold the pan in my right hand and the strainer in my left - not problem. The lip is useful for securing the pot in place but it can be used the other way around, without help from the lip. It is still much easier than using a spoon to hold back the contents. The build quality is great and It goes through the dishwasher no problem.

It's ok and easy to use and clean but the ridge on both sides would make it left and right handed

I bought one of these in Sweden many years ago and was unable to replace it in the U.K. when finally it broke. If you are still using the lid to drain your saucepans or decanting into a colander then you are in for a treat with this simple tool. It works perfectly. This brand is solidly made. It was delivered promptly. You’ll be pleased with your purchase.

Rather disappointed, left handed use only. This should be detailed in the information panel. A wasted purchase

Overall is does the job intended but if you are right handed and would normally hold the pan in your right hand then some adjustments are needed - meaning easiest to use if pan is in the left hand. It has a lip which is very handy to hold against the pan - the only problem being that if you hold it in your left hand which I would have preferred the lip is in the wrong place and then the food is more likely to fall out the pan. I've had to adjust to having the pan in my left hand and this in my right - then the lip is not facing your body and you get the benefits. It would be better with a lip on both sides.
