I have use this snorkel as part of my Scuba Diving Set and I am very happy with it, the valve block water to come inside the snorkel when underwater, the bottom is flexible which add comfort when using it and even better there is a purge valve at the bottom so if there is any standing water at the bottom you can simply blow gently and the water gets released from the bottom without too much effort. Does that happen to all clear silicone basically?** A: Mine has stayed clear over the past 9 months.. **Q: Can you please direct my search to a finis snorkeling mask?** A: I got a “Promate Optical Corrective Scuba Dive Snorkeling Mask Prescription Lenses”. Cost starts at $20 USD and I needed the prescription lenses so it cost about $55. This is the only snorkeling mask I’ve purchased so I can’t compare it, but I got it recommended by a friend. There are more expensive masks with full view/incorporated snorkel/other features, but I don’t use this very often, so this was sufficient. If you don’t have it already, or you won’t be on a trip with someone else who has it, you will need an anti fog product for the interior of the mask. If you haven’t purchased the snorkel yet, keep in mind that the ocean is full of dark colors and bright reflections so a black, grey, or clear snorkel won’t be very visible to others when it’s all that’s above the water. Fluorescent colors on the snorkel tip show most easily.
