Excellent Item
This was bought to use in a campervan. The idea was it would save me having to buy a 12V TV as I could just take a small portable from the house. I plugged the inverter in the to 12V supply; switched it on and it worked perfectly. It seems really well made and the USB charge ports are a great addition as they have allowed me to use a USB powered TV aerial as well as to charge camera batteries whilst on the move. One thing I have noticed is that the unit is quite sensitive to the level of remaining battery charge. When the charge gets below a certain level it just switches off. This happens even before you notice things like the camper van lights going dim. It's no big deal though. I have managed to get around 90 minutes or so of continuous viewing before it switched itself off. This is not really a problem with the inverter but rather more of an issue with the amount of battery power I have. However, I imagine a similar level of battery drain would occur with laptops and the like. All in all it is an impressive unit. It is small, it runs quietly and it makes life a little easier when you are out and about.

Good value for money
Bought this to charge up phone/laptop etc in my campervan as 12v charging is very slow. Seems to work well and is fairly solid. Only criticism is that you can't use the three pin socket and the USBs at the same time as they are too close together. Not sure if that's a design fault or deliberate.

Misleading people into danger
Mistaken purchase, misled by mention of car lighter socket. No UK motor cars have cigarette lighter sockets with a high enough rating to support this inverter. Even if you replace the socket or are lucky enough to have a commercial vehicle, 4x4 or RV with a cigarette lighter power socket fitted you will not be able to support 300W (let alone the peak power levels). The power-socket version of the cigarette lighter socket supports only 20A, i.e. 240W less any inefficiencies in the inverter. For an ordinary car lighter socket the maximum power is 120W and for a special power socket type is 240W. If you use this with a heavy load, you might cause a fire in your vehicle. Yes, your car/van/4x4 is fitted with fuses to protect you, but fires have happened due to continuous running at fuse limits or where the wrong fuse is used)Repeated use near the limit of the fuse (10A standard 20A power socket version) could over stress the wiring and eventually cause a component failure or overheating and fire inside the vehicle dashboard or other fittings (RVs). If the owner is unwise enough to insert a bigger fuse, then overheating and fire risk is likely)Most people who simply plug in a low power appliance (e.g. small TV, Radio, Laptop, etc.) will be OK but watch out for anything bigger. The advert warns the buyer, "It's important to work out the overall electrical requirement before purchasing" but it is dangerously misleading as most buyers will not understand what is implied. I would ask the advertiser (BESTEK) and Amazon to make it clear that neither ordinary UK vehicle cigarette lighter sockets nor their look-alike power sockets, will support this inverter. I am surprised it is fitted with a heavy duty cigarette lighter plug for sale in UK where the sockets are mismatched in power handling.

Good product & customer service
We bought one of these to use in our hen's shed running an 240v LED bulb in order to give the hens light during the dark winter months. It was used for five months, but then it suddenly stopped working. As it was way outside of the return window, we had to use Bestek's customer service department. We were very pleased to receive excellent customer service and we were sent a brand new replacement inverter within a week.

nicht empfehlenswert
Die Ausgangsspannung ist abhängig von der eingangsspannung (210Vac bei 10Vdc bzw 180 Vac bei 12Vcd in) das macht den Inverter unbenutzbar für die meisten geräte
