Contigo Autoseal West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug with Easy Clean Lid, 16-Ounce, Stainless Steel

I have spent many hours researching travel mugs, so I could finally have a leak free hot latte every morning when I commute to work. This was the winner. With this leak free AUTO SEAL mechanism , a Mercedes of coffee mugs. It was expensive too, minimum £25 so I decided to wait an order one on AMAZON US half the price including the delivery . I even ordered extra one for my partner. While I was waiting I bought a budget HIWILL Double Walled Vacuum Insulated Travel Coffee Mug, for ten pounds. I chose the smaller size for my son and was using it while waiting for Contigo. Yes it was too small for a large latte but leak proof and hot for hours!!! When contigo 2.0 arrived it was impressive but heavy. The auto seal works well and it's easy to clean. It's bigger than Hiwill but that's what I wanted, Unfortunately coffee loose the temperature very quickly. Having been using the hiwill I could feel huge difference. No more hot coffee on my desk when I arrive to work. So disappointed....I am considering sending them back , but it will be to US ... UPDATE: After few hit and misses with latte temperature and rinsing the cup with boiling water to make it hot I have no issues with the right temperature for at least 3 hours ! A win!

Excellent coffee flask. Well designed, well manufactured, keeps drinks hot for several hours and looks good. "sipping" device is clever and works well - no spills on my clothes. Downside - expensive for a coffee flask.

I love this so much that I keep offering to buy them for my friends! In trying to avoid single-use plastics, lots of companies are marketing travel cups but some of them get used a couple of times and then are binned as they leak/don't keep the drink warm/break easily/can't be cleaned. So I did my research and read that this cup was different! I'm delighted with this cup. The body is steel (I'm happy it's not plastic) and the double walled insulation works brilliantly. It keeps my tea hot for about 5 hours. If I want to drink the tea very soon, I need to leave the lid off while the tea brews to cool slightly. I can be a bit clumsy so it's really helpful that this cup never leaks. You can drop it or turn it upside down and the autolock mechanism works perfectly. You have to press the button while sipping - it's very easy to use. I like this size of cup - it's equivalent to a large mug of tea The lid can be washed on top shelf of dishwasher and the metal cup needs to be washed by hand.

I despise paper cups. I'm also not too fond of plastic ones. The leakproof system is really great. I lock the release when I put it in the waterbottle pocket of my rucksack when I cycle and not a drop of coffee has spilled anywhere. Very happy about that. The lid can be washed in the dishwasher, unfortunately the metal cylinder part cannot (presumably due to it's coating?) so it would be great if you could put the whole thing in the dishwasher but not exactly difficult to clean it with a good brush. I usually set off for work around 7:30 and by the time I get to my office just before 9 it's still steaming hot. So much so in fact that I usually have to remove the lid on the train journey to let it cool down a bit. I haven't exactly tested just how long it will stay warm because I'm usually finished with my coffee by the end of my 1hr commute. But it's been just great every day that I've used it. Looks pretty stylish too but the best part of all is the lid, it's very well engineered. Can't really comment on longevity yet, but at the price I paid .. if it lasts for more than a year, I'll be happy since it will have saved me hundreds of paper cups, and several pounds on buying coffee from a shop. And if/when the lid fails, it will still act as a decent enough cup.

I have to say, from a thermal mug standpoint, this has to undoubtedly be one of the best or the best I've ever used temperature wise however when it comes to cleaning it isn't the easiest due to the complicated sealing mechanism. It is in every way perfect for keeping drinks both warm and cold ensuring neither leak however it can be a pain to clean. This isn't so much if you clean it instantly after use however being in the real world this isn't always possible. Having left it at work accidentally over weekends come Monday morning it takes me a good while to thoroughly clean. Overall I'd recommend the mug however be prepared to give it a good clean every now and then because it will most definitely need it and a dishwasher won't help you. Most other thermal mugs I've used have been dishwasher friendly but lack the thermal element, this is the opposite. You can't have it all ways I guess.

There’s nothing I don’t like about this flask. It looks good and performs. Drinks stay hot for a long time, longer still if you pre warm it before filling, and it never leaks.

Outstanding product. I bought this in 2017, and still going strong. No issues, leak proof. Perfect smart colour. Absolutely superb for hot or cold beverages. If you are using it for hot drinks, i recommend leaving the lid off if you aren’t travelling or needing it right away. This is to allow it to cool a little so that that its a drinkable temperature. However, if it’s piping hot with 100.celsius straight from the kettle water then it should stay hot for 4 hours. And at the 3 hour mark it may become drinkable. But you may find your experience to be different. Disclaimer: Careful when drinking hot beverages. As for cold, i recommend filling to the top with ice and the rest with water or drink of choice. When i add my mint and water in the summer. And drunk through all the water, i can add more cold water at work and the ice will still be going strong. However, with each addition of cold liquids being added and the time passing by, the ice will melt eventually.

Wirklich ein sehr hochwertiges, Produkt. Design und Verabeitung seind Top! Die Isolierungswirkung ist echt beachtlich: Auch wenn man seinen Tee darin frisch macht, wird der Becherselbst kaum warm und man kann ihn prima anfassen. Der Deckel wird natürlich schon etwas wärmer, aber auch nicht wirklich unangenehm. Auch wenn über den Deckel etwas Wärme abhanden kommt ist mein Tee nach 4-5 Stunden im Becher immer noch so warm, dass man ihn kaum oder gerade so trinken kann. Mit kalten Getränken habe ich den Becher noch nicht getestet, aber ich gehe davon aus, dass die Wirkung hier auch vergleichsweise sehr gut sein wird. Die Reinigung ist echt einfach es wird wohl etliche Zeit dauern bis sich da was ablagert. Das Einzige was ich bemengeln kann ist die Verpackung, diese war nicht gut gepolstert, weshalb mein erstes Exemplar eine Delle hatte. Ich habe zwar anstandslos Ersatz erhalten, die Polsterung war auch dieses mal nicht besser, der Postmann aber wohl etwas vorsichtiger.

These are good mugs. We have no issues with leaks, even though they have gone through the dishwasher dozens of times. I understood I was buying travel mugs, not a thermos. I use them in the car and occasionally outdoors especially in winter when I want a warm coffee with me. I do not toss them inside a backpack laying on their side and it didn't occur to me this was something they are intended for. I noticed many people are using them as a thermos. I am not sure that's the intention of this design. If was bringing coffee or tea etc to work with me with the intention of drinking it hours later, I'd be buying a proper thermos. Mainly for leak proofing, and better thermal function. These are excellent travel mugs. Right now, the price is insane. I see a $20 mug. That's what I paid the first time I bought these. After I lost one, I bought two more at a painful $25 each. Now they want $70 + tax for a pair, which is ridiculous. I just looked at a full size new lawnmower with a gasoline powered engine and it's $300. Yet a couple of travel mugs are $70? Uh-huh.

Just what I needed. I use this every morning for iced coffee. I drink it slow and the ice stays in there for a several hours. The gun metal is a nice color and looks sharp (as sharp as a coffee mug can look :) ) The lid comes on and off very easy and has not leaked at all. It has a lock function on the lid. This makes it even less likely to ever leak or spill. Nice product! Thanks Contigo!
