THIS PRODUCT WORKS!!
I read mixed reviews of this item, with some people saying that it was useless, so I thought I should reassure customers that it is an excellent product if used according to the instructions. I lost a chunk of enamel from a heavily-filled tooth just after the start of the COVID-19 lock-down, so needed to effect a temporary repair. It is now almost a week since I filled the cavity with this product and it shows no signs of loosening or erosion. I made sure that the cavity was dry and scraped it clean with some excellent Terresa dental tools that I bought at the same time. I rolled up some kitchen towel to soak up saliva and placed this under my tongue and around the gum-line. I then pushed the product into the cavity and smoothed it off with the spatula supplied. Waiting 15 minutes was the most difficult thing and I helped the product to set by using a hairdryer. I am delighted with the repair and have enough remaining product for several repeat attempts, if necessary. It says that the repair should last for a month by which time I hope that the lock-down will be over and I can visit my dentist. It also says that the product is not strictly adhesive, so you do need a cavity that is undercut so that the material doesn't just drop out. If this is what you have, then don't hesitate. Buy this product!

Rather good, worth buying. EDIT 18mth, 1 tooth, 1 tube later I am very pleased it lasted well.
Very easy to apply considering youre trying to fiddle about in your own mouth and looking in a mirror. It looked grey withiwithin the tube but dries white. Not as lasting as expected although as it's my first use that could be a factor. Keeping it dry for 15min and not touching with tongue are the hardest parts. Was fine while eating normally. EDIT 18mths later and I've just finished the tube. It's worked much better from 2nd filling since I knew how to pack my tooth better. Am ordering again for sure.

Works a treat
I have left writing my review for a couple of weeks in order to give an accurate account. In all honesty I didn't expect the tooth filler to work because I didn't have an actual cavity to fill and for the adhesive to bond to. My tooth was badly broken on one side and I applied the thick paste with my finger. In my case it was much easier than trying to use the applicator. Obviously there is an aftertaste but it is short lived. Over 2 weeks have passed and the temporary filling is still in place. Not able to find a dentist accepting NHS patients this is my DIY fix. Highly recommended. Update 4th June 2019. I have continued to buy this product because it works! However, I would say not to over fill the cavity otherwise the filling will come out quite quickly. I use an electric toothbrush and the filling stays in place for a good few weeks as long as you don't overfill. Less is best!

Handy but easier products available!
Followed the instructions both included and from other reviews (the latter are more helpful!) My first attempt came out within a couple of hours. My second attempt stayed in for 5 days until I removed it as the edges had eroded away and left a sharp edge. As others have said the taste is something that some people won’t taste and others will (personally I found it disgusting!) To summarise, easy to use but does erode. Use only as a temporary filling for a few days. For a smoother, quicker setting and easier filling buy a Fine Glass Ionomer one!

absolutely useless
tried using this stuff and its just not up to task. its biggest flaws are the fact it just doesn't set, I stuck a hairdryer in my mouth for 5 minutes to make 100% sure my tooth was as dry as the desert before applying this stuff and left it a good 45 minutes before letting any moisture hit it. 90% of the stuff just washed off my tooth as soon as I had a drink. so I tried again, same disappointing result. then I tried leaving a bit of the kneaded playdough out and 2days latter its still soft. all this stuff did was leave a foul taste in my mouth, both literally and metaphorically.

Really happy with this
I had a tooth which had broken & had taken quite a large filling with it (upper right). I bought this as I couldn’t get a dentist over the weekend & started experiencing pain. I won’t lie, it was quite awkward to place the mixture exactly where I wanted it, & initially kept coming out as it was an upper tooth, but I stuck with it, & eventually got enough of it in there to cover the hole/gap. I made sure the area was clean and dry before application, obviously being careful not to further aggravate the area, & once the stuff stayed in there, it did a fine job, & did give me pain relief. I only had it in for 2 days before I saw a dentist, but I honestly had the feeling that it would have lasted quite significantly longer than that if required. Would highly recommend, although I must stress that I’m not sure how well this would work if you had really severe pain, but definitely worth a try.

A Temporary Tooth Filling, - Is 'OK', Tastes Disgusting.
I purchased this temporary tooth filling as I had a large filling come out of one of my lower molars, just before Christmas. Thankfully, until just recently, it hasn't caused any pain or problems, however, I knew it was just a matter of time before it would. I'm not registered with a dentist, as even prior to the pandemic, there were no dentists in my area taking on any new patients, especially not on the NHS, & with the pandemic too, that just made accessing dental care even more impossible. I was eating some coleslaw a few days ago, & a piece must have got right into the open cavity, & touched a certain point, as the pain was immense & froze me, like a statue. Eventually, that incapacitating pain did ease, but since then I have been in pain with my tooth, where its been a constant dull throbbing pain, & ive also experienced accompanying pain in my ear on that affected side too. I've, of course, been taking painkillers, but I decided to try a temporary filling material to see if that would help to ease the pain a bit, - thinking that if I could plug the cavity so it was less exposed, it might stop the pain, or at least make it more tolerable. So I browsed through a few different temporary tooth filling kits here on Amazon, & in doing so, I read several review too. I opted to purchase this temporary tooth filling as its reviews were on the whole quite positive, & at an affordable price too, I decided that this wasn't too expensive if it turned out to not be very good, but I was deffo willing to give this a go. This arrived speedily, which was great, & the material itself, which is already pre-mixed, comes in a ready-to-use syringe like tube, which can be used directly on the offending tooth, or, as its like a chalky thick consistency, this can also be easily applied to a finger, & then wedged down into the cavity, - which was how I applied this myself. This kit does include a plastic spatula, however I didn't use it. The consistency of this filling material meant it was pretty easy to handle & to mould into shape, & apply. I pushed it into the cavity, with the excess around the outer tooth, & bit down gently, to give the bite an even & unproblematic bite. I then kept my mouth shut for 15 mins, & tried to prevent too much saliva getting to the tooth in this time frame, - giving the finning material time to harden. Once hardened, the excess material surrounding the tooth crumbled bit by bit, away from the surround of the tooth, & its taste (Zinc based) was absolutely disgusting! Yet, despite the excess filling material crumbling away from the surround of the tooth, the plug of this material within the cavity has remained, & although the pain hasn't gone fully, this temporary filling material has deffo eased the level of pain & throbbing, making the pain more manageable to bear. I'm not sure I would recommend this, being honest, & it really does taste vile! I don't think I would use this again, in the future, either. I hope this review has been helpful 😉

Excellent product
First thoughts: The product is easy to apply and probably ideal if you only need it for a week or so and don't mind reapplying it regularly but I have to wait 2 months until I get my NHS repair so I need something a little more durable. I'm being very careful and avoiding the area when eating but a chunk broke off this morning with just some gentle tooth brushing. Update: It's over a month into my 2 month wait and my opinion of this product is greatly improved. Yes, I've had to replace it 4 times, but it's easy to do (you definitely get better at it) and it has given me pain free peace of mind. I have bought a new tube for my 6 day trip to Germany. As my teeth are nearly 60 now, I think a tube of this will probably always be part of my travel packing now.

Perfecto
En vez de pagar 100 euros al dentista por 10 puedo hacer 20 empastes en casa que aguantan muy bien y parece ser el mismo material que el del dentista. Bien desinfectar i vacillar la zona a llenar i no mezclar con saliva.
